  • drinking and taking drug can do that to you

  • @mojoelem I kno you commented three years ago, but I just seen this video and your comment and it hit me pretty hard. I've been dealing with panic attacks for years now, and after 2 years of not having an attack, I just had a BAD one 2 nights ago. I can't take these attacks anymore. And, I thank God right now that my boyfriend was laying next to me in bed when my attack hit. I'm pretty sure it was the worst one I've ever had. So, I really wanna thank you for saying that (that top rated comment).

  • Charlie from Willy Wonka! I have the golden ticket! I have the golden ticket! Haha anyhoo I deal with panic/anxiety disorder and not to make fun of him but thats what popped into my mind when I saw his face.

  • I told my mom and dad when i started haveing anxiety attacks. I didn't know what they were at first but all I could describe is losing feeling of my body not being able to breath and getting dizzy. So my parents now know but my dad hates me for them. He thinks I am a freak. I can't do half the things I want to do. And when I have an anxiety attack with my dad he only yells at me and it gets worse. FUCK HIM

  • None of you have to live with this anymore. I used to be a victim of this and I know the frustration, embarrassment and fear that is involved. Please go to my site. You dont need to buy anything, I promise you its already been paid for fuentesevangelism-.-c-o-m-

  • if your so keen on helpin us then why are you involved in a program that charges people to get this information.

  • Panic Attacks are easy to take care of..

just go talk too your therapists.

get a good one. they will tell you what to do..

it may take 2 weeks for it to be all gone...

  • As a therapist, I would disagree; panic attacks often take much longer to get control over. But they can be tackled!

  • im 18 nd i fist had 1 when my m8s pushed me in closed up space but ive only had a few since but havnt told anyone not for them to worry. But i feel that they are really quite scary to go through. Thanx 4 the video.

  • i suffer from anxiety attacks too, it's really scary for me. Vilift made me feel relax and strong.

  • when you feel yourself going into a panic attack breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth, deep breaths. until you feel like it's completely passed.

if you remember to breathe or have someone around you who knows you have attacks get them to remind you to breathe when you go into it or you feel stressed.

if you remember to breathe you won't need to take meds to help with anxiety.

  • And don't be afraid to tell your mum. Mum's care deeply and want to help. Sometimes they might not understand but they will eventually. Its important to share this with people who are close as they can support you... Let me know your email address and I will send you a book to read about this condition.

Take care... It's OK. Just know there is nothing wrong with you its completely normal.

  • i am having it after i got beaten up and it is hard to go into my town center or to get on a bus.. i am 14 and dont no what to do i am scared of telling my mum :(

  • Hey Chloe,

Don't worry... Its completely normal... Heres a tip when you feel an attack coming on I want you to talk to it... Ask it to give it's worst ask it to do as much damage as it can. If you do this it will go away.

  • anyone that is experiencing this problem has to get professional help IMMEDIATELY. The longer you have it, the harder it is to shake it. A very good combination therapy is....getting medication from a "psychiatrist MD" while going to a "behavioral Psychologist". DO NOT put off getting help....it will only get worse

  • My first panic attack had me thinking I was going to die! My body locked up, my heart was racing out of control, I couldn't catch my breath, and I remember having extreme dry mouth. Very scary. With therapy and meds I have improved. Thanks for sharing your experience. So many people just don't understand what it's like to live with panic attacks.

  • I'm only 14 and I suffer from panic attacks its like I don't have any control over me and like having tunnel vision. And I'm terrified of riding in cars! Can anyone help? Its really ruining my life!

  • i no exactly wot u mean i no when im about tav 1 cos i get chest pains, does any1 else get these?

  • cheers mate thnx alot rli helped feel so bad at mo i get pins and needles in hands n head n hot flushes

  • i had my first panic attacke about a month ago. ever since im having anxiety attacks everday 24/7. ive watched so many videos tonight and just want it to stop

  • Please get professional help ASAP! Also, learn everything you can about the "Fight or Flight Response". It will help you understand what is happening to your body and mind. Also, try this: if you feel anxious, take a slow, deep breath to the count of 8, then hold it to the count of 4, and then breathe out to the count of 8. I think you'll be amazed at how much this helps. You may have anger issues you need to deal with. I know I did. I urge you to get help. Xanax or alprazolam is very good.

  • thanks man very good of you to do this iv been suffering frm panic attacks since 15 i now 24 this year. iv had alot help over the last year and im trying my hardest to get over them and live the life i want to live not the live my panic attacks want me to have lol. iv got a understanding gf and a buityfull daughter.

  • that was for dillutionroqe

  • I think someone mentioned smoking weed caused them panic attacks, I myself around 7 - 8 years ago put a lot of weed in a coffee one night and drank it. About 20 minutes later I had the most awful panic attack where I thought I was going to die, and not knowing what it was made it worse. I went to counselling which helped, but the best thing for panic attacks is the knowledge that they wont harm you and that it is your bodies way of protecting you. distractions help a lot too, and getting hobbies

  • Iv tried quitting, but i dont have the will power to completely rid myself of it, i heard that caffiene can attribute to panic attacks and enxiaty, and that its possible to outgrow it, is this just a phase of my life or will i have to change my life style completely in order for it to go away, my main paranoia is that i will get some form of a lung disease thats terminal, sence i came back from the docter i havent worried as much but i still get weary abit.

  • Iv been smoking cigarettes sence i was 13, and im fifteen now but i got my first panic attack around teh age of 14, im just wondering if my smoking addictions could of triggered my panic attacks, when i had it my heart raced and then it was like i couldnt breathe, it lasted for a week or atleast 5 days, sence then i smoke less and im still trying to quit, iv been to docters and got x-rays wich came back fine my oxygen level was 100% the nurse said it couldnt get any better,is thisnormalformyage?

  • Nicotine is a stimulant, so it is most certainly a factor. It is best to quit, at least in order to avoid further panic attacks.

  • talking to people and using distractions help a lot. i had a panic attack at my nans house at xmas. i nearly blacked out as i got so hot that my vision went blurry. i was quite shaken but decided to stay. and im glad i did because if i was alone i would of just dwelled on it but coz i stayed i joined in with the games and it totally took my mind off it and made me happier and i even won some games lol of course the next day i was a bit shook up but distractions really do wonders.

  • Hello, my name is Scott, and I have been having TERRIBLE Panic Attacks after I smoked some weed. And ever since I've did that I've been feeling like nothing is real, I don't know what I have, and I was wondering if anyone could please help me. I've checked on the web and I beleive I have Depersonalization.

  • The same thing happened to me after I smoked weed, its been going on since then. I also felt like nothing was real and i know exactly what your saying, I've stopped using weed but i've been getting them more and more lately. I probably didnt help you, i donno, maybe i did, I know you made me feel better by knowing someone else had the same thoughts and feelings as me.

  • my name is paul , i have them too, take 1 berocca in the morings , and at night , take 3 diazepam with you at all to bed , just in case ,with a glass of water close at hand,

  • XANAX AHHHH!!!!!!!

  • Ok, straight up, you kids on here need to stop making fun of this stuff. I suffer from panic attacks almost everyday, and I am only 17. The feeling that you are going to die, is not fun, so grow up and don't post unless your being serious because this is not laughing matter.

  • what a terrible method

  • Xanax

  • keep in mind too, people, that panic/anxiety can also be the sign of something more serious going on in the body. for me, it was an indication of emphysema/chronic bronchitis. my body was trying to tell me that something was wrong... and that i was living a toxic lifestyle.

  • wrong. not even close.

  • they do coz they dont know what else to do. panic/anxiety disorder is a horrible condition, similar to debilitating effects like depression. people look for anything to find a little relief.

  • You are not alone, I advise you to go on line and read about it, there is alot of information about panic attacks and panic disorder. So I hope you feel better very soon.

  • After you begin to get more panicky other symptoms take over, dizziness, dry mouth, shaking...and there are many more. It is a vicious circle of events, your body is telling it's self that it needs to protect you, this brings in the natural feeling of fight or flight, it's a defense mechanism. But an extremely frightning experience, i know I have had many big ones!

  • @demzma. Usually a panic attack is quite sudden, and the symtoms very intense. The main symtoms revolve around your breathing because it's the thing somebody having one tends to focus on. Although it feels like you can't breath, it is actually your body trying to compensate because you are trying to breath yourself, and not automaticly like you should.

  • Hey Man thanks so much for this it really helps knowing you are not the only one.

  • ummm help i had a panic attack yeastaday in my RE class and i dnt no why or even wether it was really a panic attack or not!! can u help?! or anyone...its cause i couldnt breath and my friend said i had a panic attack n i couldnt even remmember half of it!! i just remmember thinking i was gonna die!!

  • What we all do when we get a panic attack is FIGHT it.( i still do and have to check myself) But the thing that keeps an adrenaline rush alive is tense fighting. We fear the feeling that fear brings. Most other illnesses are fought BUT anxiety is different. It HAS to be allowed to happen..accepted, even welcomed. Float towards it and let it pass thru you. This takes courage. BUT it works! It's a "haunted house" that doesn't actually exist.

  • brings me hope too never talked about it!

  • I've only just started dealing with panic attacks and anxiety. For a few days now I've been in a constant state of what feels like derealization/depersonalization. I'm also going through depression so the whole thing feels very hopeless at times. Thank you though for sharing your story. It brings some hope.

  • If you believe in Evolution, the Animal in you is Dead Scared. Put a wild deer in the city and watch it freak out 24/7. So it's not "for no reason", maybe actually some beast in us has very good reasons to panic, and who knows who's right. Anyways, just a bit of "philosopical" thinking,

    Lots of Love

  • I have the same symptoms problem is i have it almost everynight, it's really delibitating, cant sleep, i just pace and sit all night really exhausting, and to think that the episode would happen again the next night. Im from the Philippines and I don't think this condition is very well studied and treated here. Any doctors from the Philippines which can help me...please...

  • try berocca tables and a high dose of magnesim this help , me alot a had panic attacks for 6 months day and nite even in my sleep . try thes

  • BTW great video and cheers for sharing your story Ben. Awesome to hear that you've become a stronger person from the experience. Panic and anxiety are a sure fire way to getting to know yourself better. I too have changed my lifestyle fairly radically after getting attacks (very much for the better). All the best and keep up the good work...

  • Mentallogic depersonalization/derealisation is very common with panic attacks and comes part and parcel with the fight/flight response. Just know that although the feelings may be intense they are COMPLETELY harmless and normal. You're not alone, most of us experience these during panic and/or anxiety. In short don't so much fight the feeling...just be awae that it's happening and is harmless....it will subside.

  • I had a panic attack just over a month ago, since then i've experienced a huge amount of derealisation which is the sense that you're not quite awake or in tune with reality. It feels like a cloud in and around my brain and i have extreme difficulty trying to think straight or contemplate things. Has anyone else experienced this??

  • I've had a both frightening and evolving journey with anxiety. I'd like to refer everyone to an amazing site that I studied religously while I struggeld through the darkest part of my existence. It's completly free so there's no need to think I am trying to mislead anyone into buying useless anxiety "miracle cure" online seminars. Anyone who would like to inquire about the content can message me at any time. :)

  • omg i ran my hands through my hair too until it stayed up in the air lol.. but i only had a panic attack once.. but i have anxiety everyday.. and my heart beats really slow or just kinda fast and weird.. it scares me and is starting to screw my life up.. they seem to allways happen after a night of drinking.. the next day later i allways have an anxiety attack

  • SEE your GP about CBT .Hope you are better soon.x

  • xxBrokenANIMExx; I've suffered panic since the age of 5 yrs both day & night. I'm 57 now. Anxiety & stress are normal for all humans. How we THINK has an effect on how we FEEL. What we have to do is change how we think. Bennash's clip is very helpful. What helped me were books by Dr.Claire Weekes, the first and most successful therapist who wrote about panic way back in the'60s. Everybody around today has borrowed advice from Dr. Weekes and her advice is still the best.
