For a 9 year old, this is totally awesome. For those who don't know, this is a ABRSM Diploma song and she is playing it so nicely. Well done! I really like the way you express the song, you play it like some professional pianist. If I just listened to this recording, I would never have thought it is a 9 year old. REALLY AWESOME PLAYING THERE. BRAVO!

Well, if you think something like this can be drilled in to a child, lets see you do it once. This child is known as a prodigy, there is no denying it. You should see her other performances. Her talents lie in her feelings in the song, not in your so called drilled performance. If you are so good, post a vid of this song yourself and see if it works to play all day if you don't have talent.

Guys, i heard she had made minor mistakes but not more than 9 mistakes, the tempo at the 1st repeat is a bit unsteady. Some of her preparation of the fingers are not yet understood, & also some of the dynamics like forte notes, try to play them softer a bit & more delicately, otherwise it will be much a perfect piece. The examiner may gave her 25 or 26 marks. Sorry , my mistake, i change my mind, I give her only 26/30 in ABRSM Exam, not 28.

I dont think this piece's too easy, this was as hard as either Grade 8 or Diploma Grade piece, & most people couldn't achieve this piece perfectly. Fantastic Valerie, her performance was 99% accurate & had perceptive responses. Unbelievable, as a kid, she made us & the fans proud & so impressive of her talented piece. In ABRSM Piano Exam, the examiner may gave her Range 27 - 30 marks out of 30. For me as an examiner i'll gave her 28/30 - High Distinction :)

@MrChrisShi As an examiner don't you get worried that too many kids are trying to be transformed into mini Mozarts. I know some love the piano but parents can be overbearing and when they fail ... what's left for them emotionally. I read on one channel that the parents set up that they were developing the 'child's inner ear' at the moment'. Should there be age restrictions put into place and/or more comprehensive examinations where maturity plays a part? The Mozarts will out anyway.

@stockcar5472 ive no idea theres age restrictions, i dont think there's requiring age for actual exams. the most important thing depends on the level of Grades you had completed & succeeded. I was 21, i was Grade 7 & i got the Grade 5 Practical & theory Certificates, in order to proceed to high grades - especially the underage, age doesnt matter.

she is an example as Marther Argerich was.... she needs a teacher who helps her to get her fingers more near to the kezboard. The arm-movements are great , no problem, but the preparation of the fingers are not yet understood.... This would help to improver her play and give et more precision in sound as the transmission of weight of the arm into the fingerpoints is not perfect yet.... good luck....
