But Mr.Brooks is better because it isn't based on the supernatural book of death, and the companion is an alternate personality.

There are plenty of "Special People" that are willing to kill and do the dirty work for money. Call them mercs, assassins, Contractors. All are very well qualified to do any wet work and get away with it without a trace. Every organization has its faults. Animal cruelty is the worst crime a person can commit, that and child abuse/murder/rape. You know those ASPCA cops on TV, they always find some poor animal that was abused or neglected and all they can do is give a ticket for a fine or alike. Well, if they were a group of "skilled" mercs then the media would never know about it. PETA, IMO, is more outside the box when we're talking about organizations hiring hit men. However, I would have to say it is possible that large organizations hire contract killers when their goals meet an obstacle. Our government controls the media, which means there's a lot more out info we're not being exposed to.
