it is however the same recipe, no your not making the same way, but with thujone being illegal in the us this is about as close as you can get. i have a kit myself and i was satisfied. not the same thing but close enough for me not to care... and as for this clown how the hell do you have close to 10k views. wtf
@farmerob1 Absinthe is legal, it's been since 2007 I think, this was after they discovered that even in preban absinthe the thujone levels made it fall within the guidelines of 'thujone free.' Thujone doesn't add much, my friends have bought the rumors and purchased 'tinctures' of it, and basically gone into seizures being idiots. If you want a quality domestic, order Walton Waters. When it comes to kit herbs, you get what you pay for, usually inferior ingredients.
Hi, my name is Alan the Magician, and today I'll show you how to distill without distillation! It'll end up pretty much the same product, except it'll be completely different! Enjoy;)
Distilling is not illegal in the US. In California you can distill legally for persoanl use and if it is for commercial use you just have to opbtain permits. I thought this was "expert" village? Also as a reiteration of other valid points here absinthe is not made by soaking herbs in alcohol. That's simply disgusting and a large reason why a lot of people don't like absinthe...To appreciate it's subtle complexities you must enjoy it as it was intended.
i have a recipe on how to make absinthe but Im having trouble finding wormwood in Los Angeles and I don't want to order on line it can anyone help me out?
Hahahaha. What did he say?? Leave it dude. Leave it for us that know how to make absinthe, ouzo, raki and grapa. i.e. the Europeans!!. just stick to the whiskey or beer. cherrs. Nicos
It's not absinthe if you don't distill it! It's just herb-infused vodka or everclear or whatever you're using. That's like adding sugar cane to vodka and calling it rum.
