You've got the right idea but its not true 3D because there no difference in perspective of the two layers of the image, so its only 3D in comparison to the rest of the sceen. But nice tutorial.
@FringePC Well i thought it was going to be obvious that a tutorial like this wasn't going to show you real 3d, other wise i would of used cinema 4d and shown you properly. theres nothing here in z space its all flat so things jumping at you isn't going to happen.
@KinectArt Haha I'm not talking about that type of 3D, I'm talking in relation to anaglyphic 3D its still flat because there was no difference in perspective of the two layers. i.e. if you viewed that image with red-blue glasses it would still look like a flat image. And yes if the photographer had shot two seperate images of that scene with a slight shift in the camera than it would possible to have true 3D in the image itself or to have a part of it appear to jump from the screen.
