@60moments Acoustic Fingerstyle music. The first one is called The Crossing by Al Petteway. This also contains songs by Laurence Juber and Tommy Emmanual, my favorite three fingerstyle guitarists.
Whose the first piece u played(the crossing)? I cant find it anywhere else, neither the tab(if you know somewhere to get it i'll be pleased to know it :P)
how responsive is adirondack compared to say, sitka or englemann? what about redwood and sinker redwood? i know they are loaded with headroom, but it looks like(judging by this video) they perform well at low volumes; do they?
@JazzInc Thanks for the reply. i've got sitka on all my guitars, and have always been drawn to adirondack, but wary of the responsiveness. it really looks like the notes slide out effortlessly when you play. Beautiful video; beautiful guitar. R Taylor is Definately on my wishlist now.
Fabulous guitar! I'll give you $500 for it! I think the Madagascar sounds better on this body style than on a dreadnought. The person below who claimed it is bright & tinny had to be joking. It sounds deep and warm.
I don't think it's bright and tinny either, especially compared to my friend's Taylor. However, the name Taylor (even R.Taylor) brings out this prejudice more often
RTaylor guitars are outstanding. I am not familiar with their Style 2. This one sounds great.....very well balanced. Excellent recording and playing as well! Thanks for the video! -Derek

@MeLikeTheOthers it's a piece by Al Petteway from his Dream Guitars CD and I believe he made a tab book for it

Exceptional playing, but put down a carpet pad or something, your foot tapping is distracting.

A brilliant sound. What a guitar ! BTW
What brand and gauge strings were you
using on this recording ? And another
question ...What nut width does this model have ? Thanks.
1caesarfranck 1 year ago
@1caesarfranck Hi, thanks! I use Elixir Phosphor Bronze lights (.012s) and the nut width is standard, which is 1 3/4 inches

@wgtroutman34 Less than all those.
Redwood and engelmann the softest and most responsive to a light touch

I believe the responsiveness is almost despite the adirondack. It's the rtaylor style two and its light bracing which make it responsive
JazzInc 2 years ago
Whatever it is, you really milk the dynamics out of that guitar. i think i gonna consider an addie spruce top on my next purchase.

Great stuff. What mike did you use, M300?
Thanks.

Thanks, I used a Rode Videomic straight into my standard cheapo Panasonic Videocam. Great mic for very little money

haha silly for a R. Taylor??? try around $7,000 those are handmade works of art, not your standard guitar.
