Hawaii definately deserve to be ranked up there with texas and penn st regardless of what other people think. They are a great all around team and honestly the best in the west this year. They might not have the height but they can sure compete with all those other tall lanky brods. They will make it to the semifinals this year if not further and may win it all.

im a hawaii fan, but it wasn't Gabi Ailes' (stanford libero) fault. Kaufman only had one blocker on her the whole night, and when that happens, its practically an automatic kill for kaufman.

yeah we were dominated in two sets but sets two and four were close. We should have won set two but we blew that big lead, and who knows what would have happened if we had won set two and gone into a fifth set.

And we lost to Texas in 4 sets and Cal in 5 sets. We could have won both games.

Seedings are important because it gives you home court and an easier tournament schedule Take a look at Florida st., who's seeded at #3 and really ranked 15th. They played Florida A&M and Jacksonville st. at home compared to New Mexico and host USC. Florida st getting the # 3 seed doesnt make much sense. They had two losses to GT (RPI 50) and Florida (RPI 16) compared to our losses Cal (RPI 8) and Texas (RPI 1). They have only defeated 1 ranked team. Hawaii has defeated 8 ranked teams.

Kaufman is amazing, but watch this video focusing on the serve receive game for Hawaii. Notice how Mafua often does not need to take a step. The pass is perfect, and Kaufman and Mafua are set and ready, just awaiting the ball. It starts with a great pass.

i have to agree with the seedings sorry but yes hawaii is 28-2 but you have to look at the whole season were in the wac the teams there really are weak

we beat stanford and ucla but lost to texas then cali in 3 straight sets i feel hawaiis seeding was fair.. seedings dont mean nothing hawaii is a great team so if they win the championship being seeded 12 only makes it sweeter
