Beautifully made documentary.

I have loved Django's sound since i was very young.

History tends to repeat itself.

What fascinates me is the use of the word "Aryan" or term "Aryan Race".

The word actually comes from' Iranian' (check it out) and proves how uninventive the Nazis were in borrowing all that they valued as "unique". With this in mind , Django was more Aryan than any Nazi because Gypsies have a distinct link with Persia.

e.g. Gypsy Flamenco music is hugely Islamic.

I know Grapelli is a very gifted violinist - I have a number of his CDs - but I have to admit that Django sounds better with his 'American' line up of clarinet and drums. I am sure there will be many who disagree - which is only as it should be.

As a self-confessed Django obsessive, I thought I'd seen all the existing Django documentaries, but his one is new to me!

Please post details of producer/date of release.

It seems to end a bit abruptly - is this the whole documentary, or is there a Part 3 to follow (hope so!).
