No, the application switcher at top left corner would move if those we're photos.

Actually, it doesn't, you can try it out if you have the device. The desktops move, the notification area stays the same.

Look when is switching the first screen. He touches that conversation.. thing. And you can see it turns blue. Thats what happends when you touch something on the nokia n900 ;)
