I played a little when I was a kid but don't remember much from that time. It wasn't until I was around 17 that I began taking it seriously. It took approximately 6 months before I felt confident in my playing style and I began improving. It required a lot of motivation and discipline though.
Im learning this also at the moment. My print was also bad, but a bit of photoshop cured my eyes. By the looks of it, its the same version. My problem was that I didn't notice the small 8va sign at the upper left corner and since I only noticed it after this video you can guess why I didn't learn in only an hour. Damn, now that was some hard playing... 0_0'
Very nice!! Wish I could learn to play stuff like this in one hour, this would take me at *least* a day. It's not learning the notes that's so hard for me it's playing them without pausing every 5 seconds. =P
Takes me some time to get my fingers comfortable enough with a piece to play it through, hehe. Great work Alex. =D
Thanks. Actually, I may have exaggerated there a little. What I meant to say is that it took me about an hour to learn all the notes, but it took a lot longer to play it without any mistakes. I'll edit the description to reflect that.
By ear, I think I would agree with your first intuition that it should have been down an octave. Then again, who knows?

how long have you been playing the piano and when did you start to really feel like you greatly improved?
