I watched this when it was on live in '96 and I watched it again when it was repeated the day after. Nothing was bleeped out during the live show but Metallica's entire performance was censored out when the show was rerun.

@glenmatlock94 Metallica of 1989 was definitely the best in terms of performance and music. James' voice sounded literally better than on all then-recorded albums of Metallica, totally spine-chilling. Add half the Black Album, some of Load/Reload, some of St. Anger and the whole of Death Magnetic and you have the perfect Metallica IMO.

@glenmatlock94 i'm going to assume that when you said you wished "THIS metallica" still existed you meant the "garage days" metallica, and not THIS metallica we are seeing in THIS video. because the performance in this video is horrible. not to mention, lars sounds like he's drunk, playing left handed or something. there's no doubt that if metallica ever bothered to watch a replay of this event, that they said "whoops". i'd take master of puppets, even And Justice, over this any day of the week.

oh hell yeah - I've been looking for this vid from MTV Euro award for some time now - MTV wasn't pleased, 'tallica was supposed to play their single from Load at that performance but instead they got a this awesome gem!!! How many times did they have to bleep James out on a live 'cast?

mtv was airing the award show live so there was no bleeping in the broadcast basicly everyone that was watching the show live at home didn't hear one bleep.
