i think from what ive seen about the iphone is that its a fun device, but not very practical unless you're just wanting it for socialising, its more marketed toward the young adult/tweens with parents who have more money than brains. Its a good device and its fun, but for what you buy it for I don't think it is all it could be.

i just read an article with an interview with atnt ceo. he said he would love to have atnt sell the palm pre after the contract with sprint and palm is over. so if the ceo wants to sell the pre than why are people dissing on it?

I own a palm pre, the keyboard is terrible and I gave small fingers. Always sliding it open to type. Small screen and quite honest the iPhone has a better color depth screen & brightness. Pre has no video camera, the iPhone UI & apps are the reason it's the TOP SELLER. P.s. I have an iPhone on verizon with mi-fi, AT&T sucks.

iPhone is not the problem Att is. I have Sprint because it has faster network and I am happy with the service I have. iPhone would be better on Sprint or Verizon. So it is not the phone that has the problem it is the network and that is more important to me than a phone.

Yeah... you're right it's the service... go make a call with your 3G phone on sprint or Verizon and go open a website WHILE still on the call. Then come back and say the samething... CDMA networks don't allow both to work at the same time. The "MAIN" reason for 3G after all...

@LIT0187 No it would be the same story if Verizon was the only carrier with the iPhone. Theres ALLL these people using just the iPhone on the AT&T Network, which screws everything up. Now that its on three carriers AT&T is better than Sprints iphone, even though Sprint always seems to have 5 bars. Sprint can only get better from here and so can all the other carriers.

I have an iphone 3gs and I wish I would have bought another phone. apps programmers are restrcited, calendar is the worst( i miss my palm), no todos, no SD, no usb mass storage, bad camera, push notices kills the battery in 7 hours, alarms doesnt work if the phone is off. no wireless sync. itunes is slow etc. Palm is better for real life.

In my area it's not bad I usualy have 5 bars in my city (Grand Rapids MI.) and I tested the bandwidth on 3g I get 250-400 KiloBytes per second

Major error by the producers of this video -- they showed a completely different palm phone and introduced it as a Pre. I have had the Pre since its launch date and am simply blown away at its beauty, utility, ease of use, game-changing multi-tasking abilities. With the release of the Palm SDK to all developers today the apps will soon be here to address the one area where the i-phone has the lead.
