Streep doesn't win Oscars because she refuses to play the "game" and pay for ads in Variety, etc. to get votes. She left Hollywood,has grace and class, and will not stoop to degrading standards for women. That doesn't win votes with predominantly male voters. HWood doesn't seem to realize that people have stopped watching award shows because it is obvious who will win--any movie with a cause HWood "feels". GREAT actors rarely win--just the trash, most of the time. Not knowing your audience-dumb.
