  • had a 77 town coupe coach roof mint green 460 optional 3:00 gears & over size fuel tank sick car when your 25 years old i bought the car for 1400 cash best money i ever spent.

  • I have a 1978 Town Coupe also. 460 4bbl. same color (lt grn metallic) with a white top and white leather interior. I have a big tip for my fellow Lincoln Lovers and anybody else who owns cars manufactured prior to 1996 .... "COMP CAMS Street Rod and Muscle Car Engine Oil". This is the only oil I reccommend to anyone with hydraulic lifters ESPECIALLY older flat tappet (non-roller) cams. This engine oil will keep that "ticking" noise away (if your lifter haven't already failed)

  • @Rlotpir You are correct in that 1980 was the last year the Town Coupe option was available for the Lincoln Continental. In 1981, the Continental name was dropped from the full size Lincoln model, to then be called Town Car, regardless whether 2 or 4 door models. However, the 2 door model was available for 1981, which was the last year the 2 door coupe was available. The 2 door body style was discontinued for 1982.

  • LOL! That car is as big as a cruise ship! Love it!

  • i want 1 of these reminds me of bac in tha day

  • theres one of these sittin ny a dealership where i live. Red with red interier, i could buy it but i also want a truck, so i dont know if i should buy it or get a truck. it's nice, no rust looks alot like the one in this video. So what do you guys think? truck or town car?

  • @trucker765

    Town Car - Trust me

  • well I found out that it only had 4,000 miles on it! and it cost 10,500, a little to expensive for me but damn it's a nice car

  • The one I bought (3 days ago) has 85k miles on it, was owned by a grand-mother and I paid 600$ (canadian)... it's all green tho, hehe

  • I think in 1981, the Lincoln 2 door Town Coupe was the very last from 1980 to 1981. I still want one so badly as I love the 2 door version of the Lincoln Town Car!

  • @patsaxon There was no 1981 Town Coupe made.

  • My dad bouth this same exact car today. It is a 1979 Lincoln Town Coupe. It is a green car, with green interior, with a green vinyl top. Was I surprised to look out my bedroom window and see that Lincoln in our driveway today! From what I can see, it does need a little TLC, but it will shine like a new penny when we're done with it!

  • It's so awesome to see other people (especially the younger crowd) appreciate the cars in unmolested form. My father is on his death bed as I write (within 72hrs they say) and he gave me his almost identical example. Ours is a 78 Town Coupe, same paint but with white leather, and vinyl top. thank you so much for this video!

  • Nothing beats a Town Car!! I have a 96 with sim-con top and 44K miles. Cherry, bright red and garage kept since new. If I traded it in, they would give me $500.... NO THANKS!!

  • yep. a town coupe beats it ;0)

  • Nowadays, Town Cars are considered Limousines. Check the license plates.

  • OH MAN that interior is TOO CHERRY to even sit in! *****

  • yo my pops has 1 wit 64k all original jet black clean azz hell also thiz cars r rare 2 find

  • I would SO love to own one of these!

  • i have an all black one of these and i love it

  • thats a real pretty color on that car, I love the interior, too.

  • This car was built for mobsters you could fit about 4 bodies in the trunk.

  • 6 in the trunk

  • LOL what!! X.x

    whoa!!!!!! good vid! 25

  • Damn! that thing is clean! Looks new!

  • Super

  • ARE some of these your cars??

  • Sweet video! Loved the usage of "Cigarettes and Alcohol"! Nothing like a vintage '70s era Lincoln!! Keep up the good work!

  • My papa bought a white and blue one brand new in 78 and had it untill he died in 93 then it went to my aunt and she let my half brother drive it for a while and then he totaled it so yeah it sucked.

  • like riding a cloud

  • aye, ill buy that for $3k, just gimme yo address and ill handle the payment and shipping

  • I love the buzzer when you start it up! I wish today's cars had buzzers instead of those VERY annoying chimes!

  • selling a town coupe in the detroit area for 1500cash great shape, any cruisin mf would love this car

  • dude , I have a 78 town coupe with a 460 in it. It is the process of becoming a street rod. I have parts for sale. Clean car btw.Let me know.

  • I have the exact same car, except beige, I am currently restoring it, it's in kinda rough shape, does anyone know where I can get a replacement hood ornament?

  • OMG! They don't make great cars like these anymore! I'm getting one of these someday when I get through with college!

  • I should take some more videos with mine. I like that color you have, mine is wedgewood blue metallic.

  • has anypne ripped of the hood ornament? it different from the new ones right?
