  • @alitzuu. Don't know I'm my reply came up or not but it said that I wear a hijaab n I wouldn't be offended. :).

  • I really like wearing headscarfs, but I'm not Muslim. I was wondering if you people find it offensive if a non-believer wears them. It is not my intention to make fun of it or something, it's just that I love it as a fashion style and I only wear them occasionally.

  • @alitzuu when wearing hijab it's like making a statement about one's faith and what ones does/does not do. it's a responsibility because a muslim woman wearing hijab is declaring her faith to people. i'm not going to say no to your question but i would ask you to consider how you wearing it might reflect negatively on those women who do wear it.

  • MashALLAH well said.

  • a decided to waer the hijab ! its now been a week and i love it . alhamdulillah ♥

  • Check out my channel i'm new on youtube :)

  • Thank you Amena its very nice to see level headed muslim women like you.I like to be with Hijabis like you not like someone I know.thank you dear

  • Amena you are sooo inspirational. Thank you for posting these videos! :)

  • Thank you for being honest! Most hijabis completely deny that it's difficult to wear it.

  • I am in my first month wearin the Hijab, wouldnt be possible without the supportive vids on utube, they give me an extra boost to continue to wear it Insh'ALLAH. Its been easy. I expected it to be impossible but Allhamdullilah, i have Allah's support.I am proper into fashion & was sad that id have to loose my dress sense but ive discovered new modest fashion.

I wish and pray my sisters and friends and every other female out there finds the courage to wear it! Its amazing Allhamdullilah X

  • Salaam Alaikum,

I reverted last fall Alhamdulillah, and this is my first hijabi summer. :P I know what you mean. I'm in the UK so at least it's not too hot here, but I know how you feel now. Subhan'Allah! I love the winter too. it's so peaceful outside and the snow is amazing :) Plus as a hijabi it's great because you can layer up even more and still be comfortable. Btw, I love you sister :) You just glow with the light of Emaan and as a beautiful sister. Tc Salaam Alaikum

  • I think its sad that you can't show your hair because it can be the nicest feature on a person just from the perspective of liking something that is aesthetically pleasing. At the same time, I almost envy your ability to be modest and comfortable with that lifestyle. We struggle so much with wanting to be attractive to others that it becomes exhausting and we're exploited by the prospect of anything that would make us more so. I respect your ability to respect yourself in that sense.

  • Is there a hijab tutorial for this? I LOVE IT! Sister Ameena i seriously find you so admiring Mashallah! x

  • Love your videos sister.. We need women in the Ummah so can speak like that. I do intend one day inshaAllah, when i have enough knowledge to be able to do something for our Ummah. We do need to raise the esteem of our muslim women, who sometimes listen to so many things that are out there, we can feel sometimes not as good as other women, like i feel sometimes for being a revert. Alhamdulilah we got sisters like you! and May Allah SWT bless you and guide you always inshaAllah!

  • ' you can please some of the people all the time and all the people some of the time. you can never please all the people all the time.'

you are perfectly decent and beautiful with it. your not flaunting your beauty to indulge in indecent things. God lets your beauty shine through. only God can be your judge. ignore everyone else. x

  • I don't really know you but I believe I am able to judge you from what I've seen...... you're absolutely wonderful!! :-)

  • hey, i m not a muslim woman and i don't know much about being one. But i do think the issues you address here are really relevant to all cultures, religions and all women in general. we are all quick to judge as you said. we should support and encourage each other. nice video!

  • i LOVE that there are no dislikes to this video!

  • @ Amenakin Asalaamoe alaykoum sistaah!

I just wanted to let you know, that I absolutelu LOVE your tutorialss

I don't wear the hidjaab but I'm heading towards thé moment that i'm going to wear it insjAllaah! May Allaah swt reward you for your tutorials which inspire a lot of your sisters! =D May Allaah swt bless you and reward you with Janaat Al Firdauws including your sister and family!

  • hello! I am a strict Christian and I would like to tell you that I admire your courage to stand up for what you believe in, even in the face of persecution. Although it is not mandatory for me to cover my hair as a Christian, it is encouraged for me to do so. I what you could call a non-muslim hijaabi. Know that what you are doing on Youtube is spreading love and encouragement beyond your religion or culture, which is more than the criticizing women you have talked about can say!

  • You are absolutely sweet, alhamdullilah! I love your personality and you should hold your head up high for trying to constantly improve yourself to please your creator. Thumbs up to you! XOXO go sister!

  • Salam alaykum Lovely Sister :)

I'm just like you, I can't stand the heat! My family think I'm strange but I LOVE the rainy and gloomy weather, I like it when it's cool. I really love how it makes me feel cosy!!!

I love being in the masjid when it's raining, it's so cosy n lovely!

I'm happy to know that there are others like me :)

  • What a great video, thanks so much for talking! haha love your accen and love what you're saying. It's so true...why do ppl focus on such little details like...ur sleeves aren't long enough. Although that's important, the way you deal with yoru family and the way you "correct" people is all more important than the details. You're to care and love the people as a Muslim...and you're not loving if you're judging...

  • ASA - Love your point of view in this! I agree that especially amongst the Muslimahs, we are very quick to judge and point fingers - we need to remember that God is the only judge. Plus, who is to say that just becuase a woman is wearing a Hijab, she is a "good" muslim? We cannot know what is inside a person's heart.

    All the best to you!

    Hethr

  • salaam sis well said alot of my family dont wear hijab but have alot to say about mine. i might wear english clothes so they will make comments about that but mashallah iam happy that Allah SWT has given me the will power to do this and i feel like iam always being jugded by them. Iam happy as long as i am covered and i pray that Allah SWT helps us all to follow the right path xx

  • i'm an atheist and i think i've been one way back to my earliest memory. and your videos fascinate me. i don't necessarily agree with everything you've said (well that doesn't really matter) but i could just watch this insight into your life forever.

i don't know if you've already made such a video, but i think it'd be cool to see your family a bit! ahah i'm just so...intrigued by everything. you have such a positive energy.

  • that's exactly y i wear i wear it. :))) i luv ur vids and ur honesty. i started wearin hijab in my teens and ur vids helped me wear it more stylishly(if thats a word) lol:))

  • Hi, im a big fan of your vids :),sub back plz? and for your first reason i probably wouldn't under those circumstances. Nice hijab styles:)

  • salaam sister, i am a new hijaabi and i plan to convert to islam. i love that you did this video (mashallah) and your bravery of speaking the truth.

  • exactly why i wear it :) <3

  • @ Amenakin mashalalh think your extremely intellegent. your videos are amazing, motavating and very honest. Mashallah. Keep it up sister and dont let anyone judge you,. Remeber people leave the judging to Alalh swt alone !

    Salam x

  • Very great points! People are critical of me for not wearing hijab but I have made a great improvement. I am a convert who used to be a "bikini-clad" pre-islam hehe but now I cover everything but my hair & i live in a HOT climate. InshaAllah I will wear hijab one day when I am ready, not when they are ready for me to.

  • aaaaaw mashallah your sooo cute I could Hug you I hope to do this tag some time inshallah x

  • Assalam-o-alaikum sister!

tht was a really nice video..its really great to know somebody having the same viewpoint..You are very sweet MashAllah :)

May Allah bless you and your family! ameen

  • aslamu alaykum,

what do you mean by back-biting.. just wondering, coz i don't know what that means

    Thank you

  • @0xShoshix0 Backbiting means talking about people behind their backs... gossiping.

  • And... I also wear the hijab because of the "goodness" of it, and I don't think about the punishment for not wearing it..

And about how difficult it is, yes, it is difficult. For me weather doesn't matter, but the other things.. Like wanting to look pretty with my long hair, and stuff like that.. it is hard. But at the end of the day, I really feel good because I did something good, and wore the hijab.

Thank u for the vid! Enjoyed it!

    May Allah keep u happy!

  • Thank u so much for saying all this. It's the inside that counts.. and I have gotten things in my face by non hijabis, and it's like.. why? U are not wearing one, but I am the bad one for maybe have put on perfume or something like that!

And I know this girl who wears the hijab like an "old woman". (If u know what I mean). And no make up, and really big clothes! And any person would probably respect her for that, but in real she is not a good person from the inside.

So I agree with u sister..

  • I LOVE U!! haha.. u are so right!

  • Salaamalaykum sister i love what you your talking about! "keep the peace spread the love" ;) btw im loving your hijaab! Where is it from, Mashallah it really suits you.xx

  • Excellent video as always!

  • Salam alaykum sister!

I really love your hijab style in here. I'm Just guessing here ... Is it the side knot style without the knot? Lol. I'm probably wrong, but im just wondering which style is this?

  • very well said sister! and you look very beautiful mashaAllah! <3

  • Salamz sista! great work ...luv ur videos!

may allah reward you for your effort!

    lovely role model.

  • Salam alaikum sister, I was trying to find a way to send you a private message. I am a sister. Is there a way? If not I will post here but i don't think it is the best thing to do Islamicly with what I want to say.

    Salam alaikum.

  • @KingJaber0 wa 'alaikum as-salaam... if you go to my actual channel, there's a link there that says "send message" - you may contact me privately through there

  • @Amenakin Salam alaikum sister OK I sent you a message insha Allah you got it :)

  • Salam walykum sister. It was well said.

I agree with what you have said, it was excellent !!!

  • @rkayum wa 'alaikum as-salaam... glad you enjoyed :o)

  • @Amenakin You're like a major example for a lot of sisters in islaam and maybe even women who aren't Muslim because of your way of talking and your modesty but anyhewww Jazaaak Allahoe Ghairan Sistaah'

Greetings from a Sister from Belgium ( you even got fans over here! )

    Wa3alaykoum salaam

  • respect muslim sista even though i dont have any intention of watching your video cos im a guy

  • I love your rant!!! you talk so much sense! I just wish all muslim women were as openin minded as you are x

  • @lyla444 aw thank you! Alhamdullilah, open mindedness is something I constantly work on :o)

  • I was wondering that when a muslim, hijab-wearing woman gets married, does she wear her hair down for her own wedding? Friendly question :)

  • @AgoVita7 Hi... well, it's up the Muslim, hijab-wearing woman as to what she wishes to do. There's on compulsion in Islam, so it's her choice if she wishes to wear her hair down. Regarding the "rules" of hijaab, they apply every day, wedding day or no wedding day. Hope that answers your question & thanks for posting it!

  • youu areee amazingggggg :D lol, i just love your approach to thingsss. (Y) xxx.

  • @xsumayya aw, thank you :o)

  • @moelei020307 wa 'alaikum as-salaam! lol yeh, winters are easy also because our heads are kept warmer :o)

  • @snhws5p congratulations for taking the step to wearing it! I agree, it is unfair... and alhamdullilah, stay strong!

  • @truetifa wa 'alaikum as-salaam... yes I agree, simple but often overlooked for some reason!

  • @BeautyIridescent indeed! Looking forward to seeing yours sweetie!

  • @SalamInUrLife lol I forgot to mention hayfever - only sufferers will know my pain lol... every year I make du'a that it doesn't strike me!

  • @Amenakin tell me about it!! I already take a prescription allergy medicine but a couple days ago I hit the local Walgreens and bought an otc medicine. here in my part of the US allergy sufferers are getting hit majorly bad because everything is kicking off the pollens and other crap all at once.

  • Assalamo aleikum sister. Just a quick question: Are you wearing just a hoojab or a undercarf too? It looks really pretty by the way:)

    Wassalam

  • @MissKurrie wa 'alaikum as-salaam... it's a maroony underscarf & hoojab on top!

  • jazaakAllah for this video.

    i am so inspired.

  • @sayAmeen I hope it's beneficial, i'A

  • Salam, this video was really interesting and sooo true!!!! also i wanted to ask when are you going to get more hoojabs in different colours on pearl-daisy.

  • @Kashish661 wa 'alaikum as-salaam, sister! We're uploading new designs this weekend i'A!

  • @P4KI5TAR Cool ;o)

  • salam sis!

  • @truth871 wa 'alaikum as-salaam! The hoojabs & hijabs are on my website but the videos are all on my YouTube channel.. hope that makes sense!

  • people call me crazy but i prefer the winter too! I can't stand hot

  • @LemonFlutters121 Yeh they think I'm crazy for that too!

  • You come across as the most down to earth person EVER! mashAllah soo sweet :) Hope the inspirational videos keep coming :) xx

  • @lilshawtie1234 aw j'A for the compliment... hopefully they're beneficial, i'A!

  • Asalam Alkuim Sister

Very well said my sis .Loved It.

God Bless you,,btw you are a very nice person and i Love you

    Take care Sis

  • @Tamatem2020 Wa 'alaikum as-salaam sis! Aw thank you :o)

  • Salam alleikum,

as other sisters pointed out allready - I could have said that myself. Ameen, Amena, well said. You definitly brightend up my lunchbreak with those meaningful words, Mashallah, may Allah reward you for this, because i think that some sisters should have a deep think about their "haram-finger".

  • @got2atlast wa 'alaikum as-salaam sis... j'A for your du'a... & glad it added some entertainment to your lunch hr ;o)

  • I think people like to talk down on one another because some are deasesed with jealousy in their hearts. And to be able to feel feel better about the default they feel within, they start picking on others. I wish that ESPECIALLY females would stop that. I get tierd of people telling me whats wrong and right to the point where i almost scream to the person picking on me that we dont share graves. Why do you care ? ... It's tiering and we hijabis do get alot of trash both from non muslim.

  • Oh and mash'allah, keep on the good work. makes me laugh cause even ur ranting is cute. Ur such a good person within and it shines out {:

  • @Hananita88 as-salaamu 'alaikum sis... I agree with you & the best thing we can do is make du'a for them & for us :o)

  • I completely agree on the public attacks on yt videos and in general, ppl can be overly judgmental on only outward appearances. Loved this video, and your channel MashaAllah =) you have a very good heart and your "rants" need to be heard by some ppl

  • @jazzihijabi thank you :o)

  • Salaamu3aleykum sis, Mashallah Amena! Another awesome video =D

Can you please make a tutorial of this hijab look? If you've done it already then can you add the video link in the bottom bar (side bar)?

  • @SkittlezAddict4Eva wa 'alaikum as-salaam! This is just a basic hoojab wrap and then I lay a lace hijab underneath. I'll make a quick tutorial later today if I get time, i'A

  • Asalam Alkuim Sister . Very well said my sis . Many blessings to you and your family :) ......

  • @sijoka2008 wa 'alaikum as-salaam! Aw, j'A for your du'a!

  • Salam Amena, I loved your honesty in the video. You are a great inspiration for young women who live in non- Muslim countries, where sisters face a greater challenge wearing a hijab. Wearing the hijab in these societies makes women the most visible representation of Islam. What an important role that is, and a challenging role as well! I commend you for promoting it and helping others embrace the beauty in wearing it as well.

  • @amirahsackett wa 'alaikum as-salaam sis & thank you for your insight... I hope, i'A, that it helps somewhat to empower sisters (regardless of whether or not they wear hijab)... we are, after all, mothers of the next generation of this ummah, i'A!

  • *Continued*...

Bless you sister Amena, and may Allah (swt) guide you, me and everyone else on the right path and help us to continue to improve our roles as Muslims inshaAllah =]

  • *Continued*...

No one is perfect no one and I think its ridiculously unfair, cruel and rude for anyone to point out either your faults (sister Amena), or anyone else that is publically. Just because Amena is placed in the spotlight of publicity does not give us the right to point fingers at her faults. Yes, we all have room for improvements and maybe we should focus on improving ourselves (myself included of course) first before moving on to judge or even so called help others.

  • Salam Alaikum,

Theres nothing wrong with helping one another improve in fact we are obligated as Muslims to help one another. However, I totally agree with you dear sister Amena, publically pointing out others faults is NOT by any means the method we are taught by Allah (swt) and his Prophet (PBUH) to help one another.

  • @Faithful786Forever wa 'alaikum as-salaam sister... j'A for your input & your incredibly supportive words!

  • great stuff!! I would say more positive stuff but YouTube will not allow it.

  • @StrainSop lol... thanks!

  • I love you for the sake of Allah

you have more Lovers then Haters...they suck..they're everywhere!

  • @ummesawdah aw j'A sis!

  • Amena, sister, Mashallah I'm proud of you for handling this in such a nice way. Thank You.

  • i HATE those people that have to criticize and they don't know anything about you or your life.. but they say: "you're not supposed to be doing this and that" blah blah blah..

OMG you have exactly pinpointed the area that drives me crazy about people here on youtube...which is why i have to limit my comments in order to prevent such fundamental people who are SO QUICK to criticize others...but don't have the courage to make videos... i bet they would get criticized as well if they even tried.

  • @caramelle47 as-salaamu 'alaikum Wafa! Yeh I often limit the comments for the same reason - not necessarily for myself as I still see those comments but for other sisters who might get upset easily. You keep doing what you're doing sweetie!

  • assalamu Alaykumm

just wanted to let you know i love you because you make the perfect videos that completely SPEAK to me <3

  • @cloudedreams wa 'alaikum as-salaam sis... j'A... I hope that they are somewhat beneficial, i'A

  • I love and agree with everything in this video apart from the weather :P those horrible dull 'duvet' days are not nice to be out in!!

  • @dipa786 lol! Hayfever ain't a piece of cake!

  • Great video =)

  • @flova20 thanks!

  • hi ameena, i lurvvv that hijjab style you got on, and will you be able to do a tutrial on this style??? is this lace scarf colour on the website???? X

  • @ultraviolet786 Hi! This lace hijab will be added over the weekend i'A... & I'll make a tut on this style :o)

  • oh and amena...ignore all those fundamentalists who poke and prod at you...i cant thank you enough for your videos, ur hajib site and ur fb page...you my sister have created sisterhood- u have joined our ummah together...and i make dua that allah grants you paradise...please pray for me jzk...xxx

  • salam amena! i think ur super adorable mashallah.everything u sed in ur rant i cud relate2.i cant help it but i often get down and worried about my future husband. i think yes alhamdulillah i cover up and yea inshallah he'l love me for me...but i have insecurities and think my god he's gonna see super hot girls outside and the thought that he may have desires for other women kills me...i wear hijab for the sake of allah- and alhamdulillah allah helps me to have control over my insecurities xxx

  • @Misspurple0902 wa 'alaikum as-salaam! If he's a hubby who loves you for the sake of God, then I'm sure he'll see nobody but you, because you're preserving the most beautiful parts of you for him only :o) May you be blessed with one who has eyes for only you, aameen!!

  • I love your honesty:):)

  • @maakeuup thanks :o)

  • salam sis! THanks for showing the positives of wearing headscarve and observing hijab ! :D

  • @minichick786 wa 'alaiukm as-salaam... you're welcome!

  • i likeeeee snow toooo :D

  • @HijabGirl19 heh... yey! I forgot to mention snowmen :o)

  • I totally agree with what you say. We women have it tough, but we're strong cookies and we can change the world because we are Mothers of the Ummah. My reason for wearing Hijab is because as a feminist, I don't want men to see my hair and my beauty and I don't want to be judged according to my looks, but according to my brains!

And I got excited this week with the lovely weather too! I got an excuse to wear my summery scarves! Love yours btw!

  • @khadija1604 "Mothers of the Ummah" - I love it! lol as soon as I saw the sun, out came the Berks, Sunglasses, and Floral scarf!

  • Very interesting video Amena!

  • @dinavienna Thanks sweets!

  • Salam, sis! Nice subtle mention of the haram police ;)

  • @hibothebibo Wa 'alaikum as-salaam... hah, they are indeed everywhere...

  • Asalamu aleikum. Its like i hear myself. So well said...... You know Amena, you made it easier for us with your great products of peal daisy. I just got my hoojab, soooo happy with it ! I went straight away to mix and match with my other stuff. You made wearing hijab so fun. I am so proud about myself when i see people look at my hijab. I know im covered and yet modest! Thank you for that.

  • @janetevanovich Wa 'alaikum as-salaam sis... aw yey!! I am so glad you like it & hope, i'A that it makes your hijab-wearing easier :o)

  • mashallah sister, i really liked this video and i think u expressed yourself very nicely! And the weather bit was funnyy....mashallah xxx

  • @anjumi1234 lol thanks!

  • @MuslimahSecret Wa 'alaikum as-salaam... lol, yes I soo got sidetracked! I think I'm just overexcited as I got to wear the flipflops for like 1 day this week!

  • @xXxMUSLiiMAhxXx Eye of the beholder sis! Glad you agree - just wanted to put something out there to stick up for us women :o)

  • nice video sis!!! and u look pretty as ever

  • @rfatima14 as-salaamu 'alaikum sis... thank you! :o)

  • i loved this rant! i wear a hijab and i now feel it's become like a security blanket thing. i would feel weird if i wasn't wearing it. =)

  • :) so true.....Sister Amena, is this hijab on your website? beautiful on you

  • @sidraTalib As-salaamu 'alaikum, Sidra! Nope, not at the mo... I've ordered a bunch though as I'm loving the floral hoojabs ;o) Might keep them limited ed though as they're proving to be very difficult to get a hold of in the numbers I want!

  • @Amenakin hmmmmmm:)))))))))) I may be interested - again!
