I don't really know what the person brake checking was expecting.. They are in fuckin stop and go traffic. Going 0-10km/h. The guy had his brakes on waiting for the other guy to speed up and go but just slammed on there brakes instead.. You want the guy to go backwards.. fucking moron.
@BayouBluesMan Wow you are stupid. Why don't you take your dumb little ass to the library or search on line, you can find court cases witht the front driver at fault. Good try, just by saying fail doesn't make you correct. OOOOHHHhh you don't even know what the word fail means because you are so stupid.
@BayouBluesMan Yes, 99.999% of the time they do get the blame. Being at fault and getting the blame are two different things. You can look up court cases if you want. There are even tons of people arrested for insurance fraud when they cause people to run into them for ins. money. So before you run around yeiling fail like you know what it means why don't you check some facts.
what a jerk! he doesnt even know how to brake and go!! im pro at it!! slam brakes with accelerater down abit and right before the rear car hits you, dump the brake swerve the car (tailgater) and your gone!!! booyah!! works awesome with big bikes, harleys, honda goldwings, etc.
In the UK not all rearenders are classed as the rear mans fault, due to alot of insurance fraud that has gone on especially during use of roundabouts. The vast majority of time sit is the rearenders fault though. If your simply driving way too close and the guy infront stops or slows then your just foolish because your putting yourself in the position.
Man why does 75% of us people drive suvs? They are not practical at all just buy a big saloon/estate like a mercedes e/s class It also has a big motor in, it also is a roomy 5 seater lots of luggage space, and hell you can get a fucking v8/10 (e class is only v8) Oh and for i forget it is just as strong as a suv but it is even better fuelmileage!! (and you can need that now! )
I love how aggressive drivers take something that is so minor and that is causing no harm and turn it into a big production. There was no injury, no property damage, and no harm whatsoever until somebody decided they wanted to "teach" somebody a lesson.
If the front was a defensive driver, they would never have slammed the brakes on. They would've simply ignored the other driver.
If the back was a defensive driver, they would have given them more space.
what idiots! first the suv 1 had no reason to jam the brakes! other is tailgating and im sure the suv 1 warned other by first brake checks then slams it! there for is there idiotness that caused the accident but unfortunately it is suv 2 fault because he was following to close! though I wonder if the tape would hold up in court if presented but still always the rearender who is at fault! very nice capture!
@rextinctione You don't know they had no reason to slam the brakes. Maybe a child ran out in front of them from the left. Or they were having a stroke and needed to stop.
Unless you can read the mind of the driver in front of you you'd better drive as though they are going to slam on their brakes at any second.
which your completely right! but these days its mostly angry people being road ragish or desperate for money which again your right cause a rearend is mainly the rearenders fault so you should always drive like someone will slam the brakes! for the most part I try my best to keep my distance!
had a buddy do that to a tailgater. He got a nice fat $600 ticket for reckless driving. I would applaud the guy if they were going 20+ mph but they were barely moving so it was probably OK that they guy was a little close. Besides, they JUST started moving. Give the guy a chance to back off a bit once you get moving geesh.
If an accident did happen, I hope the guy in front got charged for reckless driving. Yes, the guy behind was tailgating, but there was absolutely no reason at all for the car in front to slam on their brakes like that and come to a complete stop on a highway.
@Refort610 maybe a bird flew by maybe something happened. what ever it is its always the person that hits the guy in his fronts fault always. and that is what he gets for tailgating
@Refort610 How do you know there wasn't a reason? You can't see the whole picture or what was happening inside the car. Neither could the driver who was tailgating. Which is why you ought to leave a safe distance.
@potat0man Valid point. But you and I know that people "brake check" to "teach the tailgating people a lesson." I have no sympathy for the tailgating people if they do hit the car in front, I'm not trying to defend them whatsoever. The point I'm trying to make is people brake checking are even more dangerous drivers that can actually cause a wreck. There are other methods to slow the guy behind down.
That was hardly "slamming the brakes on" just because there is an accident does not automatically then mean that this is another "putting on the brakes to cause an accident" thang. That guy to the rear really needs his face punched, not for breaking the law, but for being stupid. I tapped on my brakes several times as it got worse and several cars back someone swerved in front of a truck trailing a giant boat. HE almost caused an accident, not me. But they were all pissed/bias no matter what
What a fucking retard slamming on the breaks like that! I wish it was more difficult for people to get drivers licenses so there would be fewer retards on the roads!
well its stop & go traffic so if he followed too close & the car in front had to stop quickly... too bad for the idiot thinking he can speed things up by tail gating. Thanks for posting
It's a traffic jam. Everyone rides everybody's bumper in those. The driver who slammed on his brakes should be the one at fault since he's the agressive driver. Aggressive drivers are the ones who retaliate.
That is not called tailgating, in my Asian country if you leave a 3 metre gap during a traffic jam, you will get cars cutting into your lane infront of you.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Yes, but Asian drivers are retarded, known to be the worst in the world. In Australia you are supposed to leave a 3 second gap, longer if the road is wet.
Actually China and Japan have the worst drivers. India fuck who drives a car there. Mopeds foo. They did a study on Chinese drivers and they are the WORST they only think for themselves. Causing accidents
Actually,I'm pretty sure that's how it is all over. I know for a fact it's like that here in Miami. Leave a couple of feet of space and someone starts cutting in.
what the hell, you people call this tailgating?? This is a TRAFFIC JAM and sticking close to one another is just as common during any rush hours!! Personally, I don't mind anyone doing this during rush hour. Come on people, get a life. BTW, only this idiot would slam the brakes and cause trouble.
actually, you're wrong. It's a crime to use your vehicle to strike someone else on purpose. Most laws will call the willfill assault of another with a weapon a crime.
How do you know this "Jerk" wasn't being tailgated (by the other Jerk) for the past 10km? Most people here in BC don't drive with any care or attention. Tailgating is getting out of control. I know this guy may have did this intentionally, but if this had been a real emergency stop, look what happens. 4 sec rule...it's not rocket science.
No, in reality most don't get caught. Just last night I watched someone go right through a stop sign right in front of a cop. The police here don't enforce the traffic laws, or anywhere for that matter. Why don't they set up road blocks on fri-sat. night? I know why!
Reality? Reality is that if you cause a traffic accident and then lie, you commit two crimes. Whether or not the cops can prove it is another matter, the fact remains causing accidents and lying about them is two criminal offenses.
If you could lie about a rape and/or a murder, would you do it just because you could lie and get away with it? It's the same thing.
If you learn the rules of the road you'll know it's just tailgating. It's not your fault if someone drives into the back of your car.
You should be able to see the back wheels of the car in front of you at all times and have at least a car's length for every 15-20kph to allow for braking distance... Tough break(excuse the pun)Only his bad driving & worse reaction time to blame....
@VancouverDriver hey vancouver driver lol you know why its like this it is due to all the stupid ass drivers we have on our street that have nothing better to do than tailgate some one going over 40 the spped limit i saw slam on them brakes and sue.
I was referring to the car in front as car 1. Not being in the car with the guy, and not being a mind reader, one can only make guesses as to what happened.
