Parsons does such a fantastic job playing Sheldon. I'm glad he won something for it because it's a great show. His character's peculiar, schizoid-humanized, vulnerably childlike, genius-level insanity is what makes it worth watching. Everybody's solid, but Sheldon makes the show.

@Daylymer A Big Bang Theory movie sounds amazing and amazingly tacky at the same time... I think, as much as I love The Big Bang Theory, it's very well-suited to the half-hour episodic format. If they focused on one story longer than that, I feel it would lose its quirkiness :) .

umm ...I disagree. Sure the voice is kinda the same but that's because its Jim's voice. Other than that Jim is just adorable, always smiling, laughing, his eyes always have a little spark in 'em...Not really Sheldony. He doesn't speak like Sheldon neither, I mean the way he speaks is different (not talking about the voice). Jim doesn't do 'faces', doesn't have tics and stuff.
