This is cool to see, used to go there every sunday. i was probably at this race. good memories. Would like to see some footage of the sidecars, they were some cool races.
Although the Superbikes did not carry enough speed over Deer's Leap to wheelie, my TZ-350 could compete head's up with the TZ-750s, and we would have a WHOLE lot of air between the rubber and the road. In 1981, I was side-by-side with a TZ-750, and we each missed a deer in the middle of the track by inches, on the blind side of the crest. Of all the tracks in the world, Westwood was my favorite to race on. Narrow, tight, BUMPY, and dangerous... Westwood was a definitive RIDER'S track.
Awesome video posts! Lots of great racing through the years. The only downfall from this is having to listen to the two morons doing the commentaries. Keep the posts coming!
Ps: If you have full seasons or races you want to sell, let me know.
I think I'm going to be sick !! i loved that track -- I hope those "PUKES" that live there now in there cookie cutter houses enjoy there houses .. keep the vids coming..
This was probably one of the top 5 techinical tracks in N America at the time. Lots of history on this track - All bulldozed in the name of progress (and a booming real estate market for awhile)
nice video! I can't believe when I look out my window I see a golf course and a bunch of houses now...

@SpeeddealerMotors - really sad, and what's worse - there is no sign of a new track even to this day (unless you count the sad excuse in mission)
