No, it's not scary at all, but there has been times where the waves has been as high as the celladeck (the lowest deck) and swept away containers, but no people has been swept overboard.
Stuck on ground?
hehe, well these platforms is designed to be at the same spot for atleast 20 year+ to produce oil from the same oil reservoir
What a load of garbage. Firstly, you don't get hurricanes in the North Sea. Secondly, there is blue sky (I think) in the top left. Finally, there are only at best 5 metre swells, nothing compared to what the North Sea can produce!
i did not post the video, but i know this place quite good. thats why i wrote this. north sea is most of its time very stormy, so i say: quite normal.

Did you see those spindly little legs under the rig? Christ! Could they get them any thinner? Not big enough!
taytohead 2 years ago 2
@taytohead Actually, if you made them any thicker, they would be more prone to destruction by waves, more cross sectional area.

That is the north sea you idiot! Is Ekofisk field.
And the weather is quite okay on this video. No idea of an evacuation. There was evacuation when the waves reached the lower level of the platform.
