  • An absolutely great version, and that's coming from a Jewish Israeli! The translation is very accurate and sounds very good as well (except for switching Maria with Rabbi but I guess it fits Arabic better). My Egyptian is pretty lame but I was able to understand most of the song pretty easily and really enjoyed listening to this version. Well done!

  • this version doesn't sound bad after all.

But impossible to pronounce for a french guy like me :p

  • This is actually Egyptian Arabic not the original Arabic since most Disney movies are dubbed by Egyptians,I am Egyptian and I love it :p

  • does anyone know where I can find a translation of the Arabic lyrics into English? I know that the translations often change when they translate them...

  • this version sounds funny

    ^^

  • I'm surprised they did this seeing becuase it's Christianity and this film has themes that goes against their religion.

  • @OperationAnime262 All arabs are not muslims.

  • @OperationAnime262 im muslim and surprised too , im also an arab , but islam and christianity are mostly like each other ..... only a few differences doesn't make a big change.......

  • @OperationAnime262 because both religions are came from the same one ... the god , mohammed (pbuh) and jesus (pbuh) are both my prophets ,,,, fuck the differences we are all human beings and should be hand -to hand to fight the problems and survive...

  • @OperationAnime262 About one in every ten Arabs are Christians. :)

  • suprisingly good :)

  • R.I.P. Osama

  • это шикарно *-*

  • Have to say this version was nicely done!

  • << from the middle east

ya...this song can relate to some religious muslim ppl who moved to the US LOL <3 just a joke, focus on your studies.

  • I was all set up to not like this. Most of the disney dubs I hear aren't as good as the original but this one did credit to the song Hellfire and the Arabic language. I will definitely listen to this again!

  • Wow, this is so intense!

  • Ooh This is a very high quality dub!

  • i love that ;mea culpa; part.

  • Time for a Ninth Crusade to free the sisters and brethren of the faith?

  • @Schmusekatze42 because crusades have a long history of always working.

  • This is one of the best versions of the song I have heard.

  • It's horrible on what people say about each other over a damn disney video.

Yes those who speak arabic watch disney like everyone else. They are people also.

Seriously guys think before you type.

  • Oh Gods. This is beyond words, this, the french one and english are just my favourites now. <3

  • see, this is why the middle east thinks christians are evil

  • what a cawing, nobody understands it.

  • this is seriously the best quality video of this scene that i have so far seen on youtube! this sounds so cool btw

  • @ESCTASTEC this not funny

  • I didn't once hear "Narjahanam" in that song

I heard Nar, but is Jahanam too scary of a word for kids?

    It's the only Arabicc I know :P

  • almost as scary as the english version - i like this one tho better then the french one ;3

  • I'm portuguese and for me Arabic one is the greatest of them all!

  • I really like this version. Too bad I don't understand anything :(

  • @Macskafogo

Pretty much he is praying to God rather than Mary and describing how he is suffering because of this. I promise I will try translating it all if you want when I have time.

  • please add the lyrics in european transcription! <3

  • awesome .

  • Such a beautiful language.*-*

  • Please make this loop :)

  • Oh so CREEPY!

  • why does the arab version have better quality than the english,spanish,japanese...nevermind this will take all day

i um had alot of time on my hands

  • Yup. Up there with the French and Spanish dubs. I love the more stacatto rhythm.

  • ET TIBI PATER!

  • anyone know where the arabic lyrics are for this?

  • Oh goodness...no matter what language this song is in; it's always so intimidating, epic, and dark.

  • I love how he sounds more terrified in this version it adds so much emotion it's haunting

  • What accent is this?

  • @Fjuka Egyptian :)

  • i love the arabic edition.. but i would prefer it if u had also the english translation.. anyway great job.. :P

  • 0:45 nar dit nar sha -il hel hil ku vel his? 0_0

  • I don't understand a thing he's saying, but this is well synchronised and the actor himself is (I think) doing a great job too. That must've been difficult, but eh...wow.

  • @7Tigris

If you've seen the English version you'll have a basic idea of what he's saying. The actual translation is different from the original English translation but it's still the same song.

  • Sigh. Can't we just enjoy Frollo in all of his hellfirey glory?

  • @1Costello11 I most certainly am enjoying Frollo in all his hellfiery glory. <3

  • @ThornUvDaath777 I don't see anything funny about this =)

Believe it or not the Arabs people are a human just like you and they watch Disney movies like any people in this world !!

  • @oo0lNeverLandl0oo

Nah, nothing about that, I meant politically, not racially or individually.

  • @oo0lNeverLandl0oo exactly, media has really spoilt these people's minds!!

  • @oo0lNeverLandl0oo I mean how could someone be so disrespectful. I'm Jewish and i'm not prejudice towards arabs or muslim. my god father is from iran and is muslim. i learned to accept people. I find arabic a beautiful language so @thornuvdaath777 needs to sit his ass down.

  • @oo0lNeverLandl0oo

In a way it is kind of funny. Have you seen how most of the animated Disney heroines dress?

  • @oo0lNeverLandl0oo and they love them too! ;) I rly enjo this one! <3

  • @oo0lNeverLandl0oo Agreed to the max

  • @oo0lNeverLandl0oo I think ThornUvDaath777 said it because most arabic countries 1)have a strict religion, which condemns other religions 2)basically would see nothing strange in a man who wants to kill a woman because she a)dances free in the streets, and b)doesn't seem eagar to have sex with him and 3)they have a completely different view than other civilizations, with no room for innovations.

The above are just obvious facts, nothing rasistic.

  • @QueenLilith82 I think you need to update your facts. On a theoratical level sure there are extremists (just like every country and religion) but majority of people (arabic or no) would see something terribly wrong with "a man wanting to kill a woman" full stop. Murder is still outlawed in arabic countries and just because they may be Muslim (by majority) does not mean that they follow stereotypes.

Also I believe the original comment was intended to be humours so can we just laugh??

  • @phoenix0192 my facts have recently been updated, after my cousin's trip in arab-speaking countries to film a documentary about women's rights. She was treated in an awful way for being a woman, and she had to travel under protection guards, since she was in danger even because she had not her face covered.

Of course, there are brilliant exceptions, but unfortunately, the religion is still a very important factor in those nations' minds.

    And yes,you are right.We can laugh :P

  • @QueenLilith82

Yep :). Glad someone finally said the obvious. I typed the above I don't know how many months ago and people keep sending me the same stuff.

  • @oo0lNeverLandl0oo except for the prince of egypt!

  • @ThornUvDaath777 Yeah? And what's wrong with that? Dickhead.

  • @ThornUvDaath777 Why not?

  • @ThornUvDaath777 what do you think our kids doing right now ?? playing with bombs ?!!! that what USA needs you to think ... they are just kids and one of there rights to have fun just like your kids ... iam 20 years old now and i still in love with disney movies the new and the old ones

  • @ThornUvDaath777 That's pretty messed up lol. But yeah, as NeverLand said. xD

    Sounds pretty epic, doesn't it?

  • @ThornUvDaath777

That's not funny, my friend. And after all, they made the film Aladdin, didn't they?

No fun, seriously. I hate when people make fun about other countries... I bet you wouldn't like if someone made fun of the people of your country.

    -----

Dude, the voice is amazing in the song! ^w^ I love it!

  • @KaiKenNatsuki

Umm, no, I wouldn't give a shit. Chances are their criticism is legitimate, and if not, who the hell cares?

And no, they did not make the movie Aladdin, Disney did. They may have invented the original story, but I'm sure when the US made it intoa Disney film Arab countries denounced it as just as trashy and evil as the rest of american culture.

  • @ThornUvDaath777

I never said the arabians made the film Aladdin, i was talking about Disney ^^'.

And well, it's fine, I respect your opinion. Thanks for replying kindly (without telling me any F bomb or anything :3). I appreciate it ^^

  • I prefer this over the English.

  • Who the heck is the singer

  • why does it always have to come to religious fights...

  • @TheAzureNightmare I agree... it's a language that seems a little too ethnic for a guy as white as Frollo

  • What the heck? A movie about a Hunchback, A Christian Priest, and a Gypsy, which takes place in Christian France, with overtones along the lines of The Crucible, in Arabic, which can be partially associated with Islam? Anybody else see any Irony? (No that there's a problem with it, or anything. I just find it a little bit... strange.)

  • @TheAzureNightmare Well, there are places in the world where muslims aren´t that extremist as you think, and they tolerate christians. Anyway, it´s just a dub so people that speak arabic can understand the movie.

  • @Darellos

    Where?

Even in Egypt it's covered in Christian Killers (Though, Egypts the Coolest of all the Arab countries, with it's tollerence - They even had a Christian Governer of one of the Lower Cities - Though i doubt Mubarick was a practising Muslim)

  • @Rhyden11 Please dont comment before gettign your facts straight, christians existed in Egypt before muslim conquest in 7th century and there are still around 20 million (yep thats right, 20 million) native christians in Egypt, meanwhile in Spain Muslims were fully expelled already by 17th century eventhough Granada was as much an arabic city as Cairo and Baghdad are, now whose the true terrorist?

  • @pheonixmon1

Egypt has around 8 million Christians and the amount of secretarian violence against them is horrible. Sure they might still be around, but the lack of true tolerance there is pretty sickening.

  • Man, I've been listening to the different versions of this song, and it makes me wish I could learn them all.

Know what? I'm going to do it! I'm going to learn Japanese, French, Arabic, Spanish, Hebrew, all that crap! Starting NOW!!!!!

    ...

    *groan*...

  • @Zlarel In all seriousness, I'm going to try. It'll be worth it.

  • @Zlarel Good luck with that ... most of those are really hard

  • @Zlarel there's also an Italian version... ;)

  • phoenixmon can go fuck himself. Egyptian Arabic is beautiful!

  • @bsc3564 Someone is scared of replying, I bet you dont even speak arabic so you dont know how awesome it would've been in actual arabic

  • I've heard a lot of people say this is the best version but, admitably, Follo doesn't sound nearly as tormented in this one. I don't know how to explain it, but it sounds more like he's talking to a counciler than begging for absolution

  • I Love this movie, it fits egypt so well, but instead of the preiest there's an ekhwan guy :D egyptians weill get me ;)

  • UGHH I HATE THE EGYPTIAN DIALECT IT SUCKS !!!! isnt there one in classical arabic?

  • i luv the eygeptian accent

  • I am Syrian

"Maria" was changed to "My God" for Arab audiences

  • Wow. I've looked around at the different versions of this song, and I think this has to be one of my favorites. They did a really good job with the Arabic voices. So much emotion.

  • WOW AMAZING AMAZING!

  • WHOA! THIS IS HD!

Are all the Disney movies available on DVD in HD? Where do I get them?

  • كالعادة,,, رائع (:

  • superb singing. the singer added feeling to his singing so well!

    :-)

  • They really did a fantastic job with the Arabic dub.

  • best version after swedens
