Nice job mate. I used a Lucas mill, and this looks just as good-Be much cheaper too.

clever design. how's the blade fasten to the arbor? countersunk flathead machine screws?

Bi-latteral pivoting saw.
It doesn't even sounds like it's forcing all that much.
I gather there is a lubricating system for the blade?
