  • Thanks for solving a small problem with title and composer!! Wow that took years!!

  • @AndyPandyCan Ronald Binge wrote this piece whilst working alongside Mantovani and his orchestra around about1951. So this piece of music is rightly attributed to Mantovani and his Orchestra all other rendition since then are cover versions.only.

  • A wonderful piece of music.

  • I listen to this most mornings before going to work

  • could someone please tell me the name of the person who pened this beautiful music.

  • @TheBryanferry Ronald Binge is the composer.

  • the most beautiful music ever pened.we have a lot to thank the classics for .for without them we would not have music at all.

  • @TheBryanferry I agree about how beautiful this music is. It's always made my spine tingle since it first came out. I consider this to be 1 of my 2 favourite pieces of music. Classical in style it is not classical music. It is light entertainment music of the 1950s by Ronald Binge from Derby UK, a few miles from my home. I am pleased to find that you have good taste & feel the same. My favourite vocal version is by Louise Tucker & called Only For You An upbeat version, but professionally sung

  • Absolutely by far the best version

  • Much prefer the 'Dublin' version musically - can any young genius re-post that tune but with coloured pictures of England, countryside and village scenes from the 1950s? I'd be forever grateful.

  • There are actually words to this song. A user called deekee33 has posted a version

with lyrics, sung by an all female choir.

  • wonderful just simply wonderful

  • O my god, I'm a teenager again... ;-)

  • absolutely, the best version !!

  • Always loved this, could hear it over and over again. Gives you just as much a thrill as when I first heard it over 50 years ago.

  • By far the best version of this great piece of music.

  • nevertheless a really great tune of long gone times!

  • This is NOT by the Mantovani Orchestra (wandering itinerant musicians without the Great Mantovani on the podium) but by Mantovani And His Orchestra (Mantovani on the podium).

  • @itswagon wandering itinerant musicians! Those cats are on the loose again?
