I have a pipe made from Rhamus root wood, and that looks similair to it not in design but in wood colour, if that's the case then it was probally made in the far east were those pipes are more comman.
I'm not much of a Tobacco smoker but when I smoke I don't like the butane taste from my lighters so I use a hemp wick for relighting the bowl. You should check them out.
Hey Pipemannow, this is my first time viewing your videos and just want you to know that you come across like a really great guy. My name is Pete and my videos are under PipePastor, and my son's videos are under BoldODonahue. Loved this video and am looking forward to watching some more when I have some time to spend with a fellow pipe smoking brother.
Whow you are old, buying out of catalogs lol. I remember it well my friend as I turn 60 this year. My all time favorite is Sherlock Holmes also. Basil Rathbone, Nigle Bruce were my favorites although any are good. And yes I have volumes of Doyles works, love sitting with a pipe reading them. Loved your video. Chris
This was a great video. I just bought myself a Vauen Churchwarden. I got the idea to go for it from watching your videos and I'm glad for it. Thank you! Also, I'm a bit more of a Basil Rathbone fan, but what are your favorite Sherlock Holmes mysteries w/ Jeremy Bret.
Excellent videos chris, the best out there. I have to say that the Sherlock Holmes collection is one set of books I will always treasure. On the subject of alcohol and tobacco, I seriously recommend you try the Adnams brewery's Explorer beer or thier bitter, a great english beer. A good virginia blend we have here in England is Westmorland, comes in slices, good stuff too. Keep em coming, Jack
Hey thank you for your kind words. There are a lot of guys making excellent videos and giving out great info. I am just glad to be a part of it. Cheers!
Hey Tim! Beautiful pipe and nice review! Have you tried any of the other 221b blends? I'm reading Sherlock right now, just got done with the Red-Headed League, which was awesome.
I grew up watching Brett's Holmes, so I'm a huge fan. However, Downey Jr.'s interpretation of Holmes is also very good. Not theatrical at all (like Brett brilliantly was) but mundane and closer to a real person, still with a fine degree of eccentricity. Pretty good and very wise on staying as far as possible from Brett.
Dude thats awesome I have the same exact short story collection of Sherlock Holmes. Leather bound with gold trimmed pages, and I got it from Barnes and Noble too.
Great vid. Love learning new things. Glad to see you again. Don't wait so long in between vids next time. As for the pipe? Have no idea which is no surprise. Sorry about the Skype problems earlier, hopefully have them fixed. Cheers!
black shag, arcadia and honey dew r the baker street series,,the first two r my fav,,jeremy is my fav holmes so far followed by rathborne. the new film is a mixed up of before and after with an action version didnt really rock my chair but it was decent if u dnt mind watching it with arabic subtitles embeded let me know i cn gv u a link where u cn download it,,always great to c u mate
Good stuff man. Thanks for the shout out I appreciate it. Thanks for the info on Sherlock Holmes too. I have always been interested in him but have ever actually read the stories. Like i said in my first video I had just seen the new Sherlock Holmes movie when I came up with my YouTube channel name. Anyway thanks again.

RIP Jeremy Brett.
Enjoyed this video, but I would much prefer smoking tea opposed to tobacco.

I always enjoy watching tobacco reviews. Think this is the first one I've watched on McClelland's Black Shag.
Nice review and info on Sherlock Holmes too.

I agree that Downey made a wise choice in staying away from Brett's Holmes.

Brett took the role and made it something that I do not know that anyone could even hold a candle to.
I have been a fan all my life that I can remember. I bought a complete set in Virginia that was made at the 1927 printing.

Sweet, I like that you were able to give some things that you weren't using to someone who needed it.
Cheers.
The movie was ok, but if one likes the books, they may be dissappointed with some of the character changes.
Irene Addler, totally off in my opinion.
