Reagan is dead and his ideas are dead.
The "trickle down" isn't even mentioned anymore.

You're right...a trickle doesn't work, so let's steal from the prosperous through high taxes and hand it to the less prosperous. Reagan lives and his ideas live, so long as we have socialists like Obama and Pelosi hacking blows to our country's capitalist economic system

I may not have agreed with all of his policies after all he was human he did make mistakes like every president,but I wiil always appreciate him for being a great statesman a real president and when he spoke everyone listened because he believed in what he was saying by the way I'm not a republican.

*The top tax rate was lowered from 50% to 28% while the bottom rate was raised from 11% to 15% - the only time in the history of the U.S. income tax (which dates back to the passage of the Revenue Act of 1862) that the top rate was reduced and the bottom rate increased concomitantly.
*Eliminated tax deduction for C.C. interest.
*Taxed regular saving accts.

The Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reduction Act of 1986 COBRA 1986 was a bi-partisan bill enacted to reduce taxes......the Grace Commission from 1983 identified tax savings of 3 dollars in spending for 1 dollar in closing tax loopholes. The Reagan Administration agreed to the closing of the loopholes in return for the spending cuts. The Congress never cut spending. The top tax rate was lowered in 1983, not 1986. Reagan was so stupid, the other Democrats finally had to tell him that their party didn't try to make it easy for the rich.
Reagan was so stupid, he had to switch political parties in 1962 because he finally figured out he'd been in the party that opposed his views.
