I played all GTA games apart of GTA Advance. I can surely say that GTA3 is my favourite. Comparing GTA3 serial (GTA3, SA, VC, LCS, VCS), and GTA4 serial( GTA4, TLAD, TBOGT, Chinatown Wars), I find GTA3 much better, because of the story, many secrets, etc....

I've played every GTA game apart from GTA 1. After buying Vice City the other day I decided I am going to play-through (almost) every GTA game.

I'm gonna start with GTA 3 and end on TBoGT (so basically the 3D ones). Can't wait to play-through these classics again, I'm gonna force myself to not slack off and give up halfway through, gonna be a good time.

you can compare gta3 and 4 with food: gta3 is like small cheeseburguer, it's addicting by nature, you can just eat it and want more even knowing you don't need it anymore, just eat by reflex and sholve it down your throat. gta 4, by the other hand, is like a fancy dessert, you need to taste it, feel it by eating very slowly and when you finish, you want more and once you have it, it feels great... but, gta3 and 4 are awesome in their own ways

In my opinion GTA 4 was a huge step back, yeah it looks prettier, but its like a dumb sexy bitch.

i think that from gta 3 to vice city they did an amazing job, GTA4 is just not fun to play, the aim is horrible, your car is always going out of control, you die too fast, missions are boring and the overall nico experience sucks, press a button to run, over run every time, the cover system blows... i regret getting that game so much, even i just payed 1.50 bucks for it

Some people don't know that, but, the GTA games are divided in Eras.

GTA IV is the start of a completely new Era, and the GTA III Era is re-writted from te zero.

But still, there is some characters that appear in more than 1 Era, such like El Burro(Era I and III), Claude Speed (Era II and III), and Lazlow (Era III and IV).
