Hi There, I own this same guitar and have to say that its was a fantastic purchase. Fit Finish and Setup came to me great. I opted for this model over the versions with the ESP pickups since I was looking for more dynamic in tones, Blues sounds great but lacks the beefy/milky tone of the rhythm pickup you would normally get from a Les - This is probably due to there being less wood but overall great guitar

Hey Ari thanks for the review. You're pretty much the only person who has showed versatility (stuff besides for metal) in the ec-1000 demo. One question: I'm in a classic rock/rock band; would this version with the SD pick ups be more suitable? I also like to play metal, and would like a metal project on the side. I know the EMG's are more geared towards metal, but would suit classic rock/ blues and all that jazz? Or should I get the SD's cause they're more diverse?

If that's an LTD it doesn't have Sperzel locking tuners, they're ESP locking tuners, unless he switched them out. They're still really awesome though, I got one in the Vintage Black.

ive had this guitar for about 7 months now.

at first it sounded great, and still does.

but its getting harder and harder to keep in tune and the intonation is getting really off.

i thought my neck may be warped, however ive read some reviews online that state other owners of this guitar have run into the same problem. i was just wondering if youve encountered anything like that.

I think you should know if you didn't that the color he has is one of or the only one with seymour duncans, the rest have emgs. Clean with emgs probably won't sound as good.

No its not like saying u have an i phone and havin a cheapo. The high end LTD's espcially the delux models are made identical to the actual handmade ESP guitars, In every spec that matters anyway. I own an eclipse and a ec-1000 and the difference is so minimal that there really isnt one. And the ESP model sells for only a few hundred more so its not that big of a price difference. Handmade shit cost more, bc it cost to make it, and they cant make alot of them. You dont know shit wat ur sayin

So in a sense it is called either / or ESP/LTD, when referring to LTD, excluding their beginer guitars, im talkin 400 to the 1000 series. No one has asked, but it isn't light. It's heavy enough to feel solid but light enough that it's not too heavy when standing up. It's also balanced nicely on both ends.

ONLY the AMBER ec-1000 has seymour duncans. The black, vintage black, snow white, and all the see-thru colors have EMG 81 (b) / 61 (n) active pickups. :)

Yeah, I don't know why ONLY the amber has seyms. Or why The amber only comes with them and not have an option. It would be nice to have the option, but I guess that would be too complicated. I'm buying this guitar on Friday. I'm getting it in see-thru purple. It may sound fruity, but it's gorgeous. If you haven't seen it, I reckon you check it out. It comes with emgs. Maybe you'll like it more than the amber. :)
