  • That looks too yummy! Great job! I'm just starting out with making desserts and I've read that you put butter in cream cheese frosting, is it just as good without the butter or does it taste different, I'd rather not use butter if it's not needed :)

  • @CavChick4 I suggest you rewatch the video, I didn't put any butter in the frosting ;)

  • In America we add some drained crushed pineapple and raisins to the batter along with the carrots. If made in a bundt pan you can make the icing a bit runny and spoon it over the cake and let it run down the sides. My cousin's wedding cake was made like this using different size bundt pans to make a tower. Almost a volcano effect lol It was so good. :o)

  • Hey, You could also add orange zest into both the cake and icing/frosting. It makes quite an addition to the carrot as it complements it well.

  • @MONTANOMARILU If you live in the US and it's stuff like Red 40 or Yellow 5 then, in my opinion/research, it is bad. I wouldn't give it to my children. But if you have access to natural food coloring (if there is any) then go ahead. I just know the FD&C stuff isn't good. Some might not agree with me some might agree. I just know where I stand. Do some research on them

  • nice recipe! I do a really good carrot cake too (it´s my father-in-law´s favorite^^) i always put some hazelnut into the cake and some lemon zest ...and i make a yogurt lemon topping...the cake becomes a fresh taste and is awesome in summer!^^

    That carrot cake looked absolutely amazing! The moist spongyness when you cut into it (was so so so moist looking) and the thick cream cheese topping just was the icing on the cake (oh wait... it was HAHA no pun intended... but I guess there it is XP)

  • @AMlovesLady I would reduce the baking time to about 30 minutes then check them. If they are risen and golden on the outside and a skewer inserted into the middle comes out clean, they're done. Otherwise, put them in for a little longer ;)

  • @jakeanddar Vanilla Extract is made from real vanilla. Vanilla Essence is an artificial vanilla flavoring. They are interchangeable in most recipes. Extract is more expensive, but has a much stronger, more genuine vanilla flavor ;)

  • butter and oil are very different what is the taste difference and consistancy differency cause the two ingredients are very different

  • @bigbaffledbaffoon123 There is very little difference in consistency or flavor. The only major difference is the oil produces a much moister cake ;)

  • i'v been wondering, why are the yoke of austrailian eggs almost orange, instead of yellow?

  • @MoneyAndPeople I would guess it has something to do with the chicken feed, or the breed of chickens we have here in Australia. To be honest, I'm not really sure ;)

  • @MoneyAndPeople the more recently laid the eggs are the more orange and perky the yolks. It's an enzyme that's there when it's first laid and dissipates over time.

  • @mklein1998 don't make your life to hard sometime a pie ore cake can you know when you reach your weight and you stop whit the diet you go eat normal agian that's whit the most diet's that's why i do more in sport i was a round the 115 kg and now 90.5 kg
