Stop acting like it was "brought down" as if they were attacked and destroyed. Sony took the PSN off line themselves in order to rebuild the whole PSN with proper security as opposed to just patching it every time a hack occurs. So, they either do it now, or later. I doubt they bring it back up only after two weeks just to beat some arbitrary time frame. By the way, the PSN was up last week. It was the store that just came back. So, it was done in phases.

Oh lets top it off LIVE went down over christmas in 2007 and gave its customers nothing. Sony is giving us 2 free games, identity theft protection, and free trial of PSN. Sony rules

Seeing as how that was actually not even the network going down, it was just maintenance from an increase in Xbox Live traffic. Versus Sony's situation when they did not properly secure your information. You list Identity theft protection as a wonderful thing, yet it shouldn't be. And it's not Sony's idea, it's something they lawfully have to do.

i will say the 360 has the better exclusives and better online gameplay though. PS3 has gotten a bit better since adding Mass Effect though. but i still havent played a single game that has compared to Metro 2033. best game ever, hands down. and there is no online for that game
