  • will it tint lighter skin tones yellowy/orange?

  • Is there something special about almond oil? I'm allergic and am wondering what other kind of oil I can use or if only almond because of some special property. Thanks!

  • what do you do to remove the yellowness due to turmeric powder?

  • how long should you stay in it?

  • the song is called "beware of the boys- by punjabi mc"

  • This song is DOPE!!!!!! I want to hear this everyday. I am not kidding.

  • Whats the song?

  • punjabi mc is the artist look for the remix with jay z its good

  • what is this song?

  • if you want her skin just use skin whitening soaps

  • holy crap, i haven't heard that song in so long. it made me wantt break out into a dance haha. and i do this mask. i make enough to last a week. but my recipe has a bit more in it

  • Really what do you add to it?

  • This is used on the bride in Indian weddings so she can look her best at her wedding...in India they just call it besan :P

  • I LOVE Aishwarya Rai

She's stunning, beyond gorgeous .. a total GODESS!!

  • but tea tree oil IS natural

  • So will this mask help even if you are not pregnant? I am unfortunately on a lot of prescriptions and my skin just has that ruddy feeling plus being in my late 30's doesn't help. Any suggestions? You are truly beautiful inside and out.

  • I prefer using rose water instead of almond oil...

  • What is the difference?

  • Almond oil contains Vitamin E but it also gives too much oil if your face type is oily. But almond oil is added if honey (which removes unwanted oils) to even each other out. Thats why you should only put 3 DROPS or so. And if you put more to make a paste its not gonna help make your mixture look good. It would get all seperated since oil tends to seperate molecules of the ingredients. Believe me.

  • love this video :D

  • How do you know that Aishwarya uses turmeric, gram flower, and oil on her skin?

  • MadamTea, chickpea flour is also called Besan flour if there is an international market or indian store near you they will definately have it because it is an Indian diet staple.

  • Chickpea flour is nearly impossible to find the US...trust me I have tried it! And about the oil, what if you have oily skin, isn't oil dangerous for you?

  • depending on where you are your local indian super market should have it ? mine always carries it

  • its available in indian grocery stores

  • I know this is a little off topic, but what is the song on the video called?

  • Mundian to Bach Ke - Punjabi MC

  • thanks so much!! :)) but how do i make chickpea flour?

  • wooot...i am from bangladesh a country below india and we use a fresh tumeric and mash it up and apply on our body and then we have glowy skin....=)

  • great tutorial! Do you have to use almond oil? Is it ok to use a different type, like maybe grapeseed or coconut oil?

  • pls tel me how can find chickpea flour

  • indian store..or amazon

  • I love that song.. I think in english it means "Beware of the girls"...not sure

  • i tried the tumeric thing b4 but this mask is amazing! :D its like a really good emergency kit when going weddings and partys and stuff xxxxx

  • Oh good! That is awesome! I love home made masks!

  • I love that song!

  • you should also put lemon juice in too..

    its works for my skin..

  • That is a great tip, thank you! What does the lemon juice do?

  • lemon is like a toner, it will get rid of darkness, and it is also good for pimples..

there r soo many things u can put in :)

  • actually it is kind of fruit acid, being used in a lot of cremes

  • Congratulations on ur pregnancy! Good Luck!

    :0)

  • thank you!

  • Thank you for sharing this with us. I'll be trying it out today since I already have the ingredients :).

  • thanks for watching!

  • okay i JUST got back from the super market and i could only find the tumeric powder!!

i loooked ALL over and couldnt find the chickpea flour/almond oil

will it still give me abit of a glow (cause of the tumeric) if i use regular flour and oil?

i bought essense of almond..but im not sure if it'll work!!

  • You should try an international market, they will have everything. chickpea flour is also besan flour. Even if you go to a natural grocery store like Whole Foods, you will be able to find the ingredients!

  • ok thanks!

haha i live in singapore though... so i thought for sure they'd have all that stuff at the supermarket but they didn't!

i guess if i can't find it ANYWHERE i'd be able to find it at little india or something

  • what is the music...please:)...

  • the music is Punjabi MC - Mundiyan To Bach Ke

  • thank you very much;)...

  • I tried this mask before and it works really well. If i leave it on for more than 15 minutes or if i add too much turmeric into the mixing my skin also turns yellow. But if i dont do that, my skin is in it's natural color. For yellow staining i use my neutrogena acne scrub or anything with micro beads in it to gently buff away the yellow stain. It works!

  • Aww i'm having problems finding the almond oil! I can only find almond oil shower gel. Where can i buy this from, helpp!

    Thanks in advance! :)

  • congrats your are pregnant!!!! I will try the mask thank you :)

  • Thank you!

  • Really? I am really fair and have never had any issues. I use it all the time, that is too bad! I have never heard of anyone's face turning yellow. Just fingers!

  • how long did you leave it on? i think she left it for like 20 minutes.

  • Yeah like 15-30 minutes!? I will put in on and work online and forget about it sometimes:)

  • my sister just tried this last night. she was the guinea pig. her face turned bright yellow. we had to scrub for an hour. i don't think it is for very fair skin

  • i have a question i have very fair middle eastern skin will it make me look yellow. b/c when i eat an eggplant dish with a lot of tumeric it stains my fingers and nails yellow for a couple of days. i am not alone this happens to all my family

  • You know my fingers and nails have turned yellow from this mask, but never my face. I have a very fair complexion and you would think that my skin would look yellow, but it never has!

  • Is ginger and turmeric the same thing? ..

OR if you use ginger would you get the same results as you would with the turmeric paste?

  • no, ginger and turmeric are not the same :)

  • thanx bbz

  • hey shweety thx for shareing dis vid but u didnt say how often to use it?

  • However often you may need it, some women mask once a week, others twice a month. Whenever you need a glow:)

  • I'm gonna have to try it! When I was younger my mom used to make masks with chickpea flour but I never checked what recipes she used :) this is interesting, and my skin has been breaking out lately because of some prescribed meds (I hate my doctor now).. I'll purchase some today or tomorrow and give it a try! Thanks for the video! :D

  • try it! it has been helping me:)

  • you're alr so gorgeous. i dont know whether this mixture can make u any prettier. but you truly are!

    thanks for the tips!

  • oh thank you!

  • thanksss danica ; ) !

and until now i still can't find the flour for the mask ; (

  • look for besan flour or chickpea flour in your local international market or natural health food store.

  • Were could I go to get these products?

  • your local international market or health food store.

  • omgg!! you're pregnant!!!

    congratssss

i hope you have a beautiful, healthy child!

    -malka

  • Thank you, I am so excited!

  • Thank you:)

  • hey makeupenvy ; )

i wanna know , after you scrub the mask off your'e face , do i needa rinse my face then add on lotion or do i just leave it ?

  • Yeah just like any mask after you rinse it off you will need to tone and add your moisture.

  • I used your glow face mask last night...i love it! i live in the highlands of Scotland and it took me a while to find the chickpea flour it was called Gram...but got there in the end lol!

I also heard that you can mix the flour with milk and use it as a cleanser but i haven't tried that yet!

Congratulations on your pregnancy! Emma xxx

  • I am so happy that you tried it! It is a great gentle mask. The chickpea flour is also calles besan if that helps anyone! Thank you!

  • I'm excited to try this mask, are you able to use this on any part of your body, or just the face? Thanks :)

    -jenn

  • Yeah use it on your body too!

  • oh my i gottatry it out thx.....and what is the name of that song?

  • It is "Beware" by Panjabi MC/ Jay-Z

  • would this be ok for someone with sensitive skin to use?

  • It is ok for sensitive skin, I am sensitive to new products and harsh chemicals but have no problem with this mask!

  • Hey Danica! Where can I purchase turmeric powder? Thanx for the tip! Btw, are you desi?

  • indian stores, some grocery stores may even have it whereever they keep their spices, etc :)

  • Thanks for the mask recipe and best wishes to you!! You look amazing and your baby will definitely be beautiful as well! :-) Question abt your recipe - How long do you leave this mask on and how many times a week do you use it? Does it leave a yellow stain on your face?

  • Oh thank you! I leave it on for just a couple of minutes, like 10 -15 or so. The yellow color of the turmeric does not stain your face, but it may stain your nails if you do not scrub after you take off the mask. I do this mask once a week at the most, but even once or twice a week is good. Thanks for the comment!
