@devaggos Yes it can be true, it's a 45nm chip, so it's made for running on higher frequencies on lower voltage (1,45 is the MAX on those cpus after that god must be with you) my 90nm Celeron D needs +0.450v (1,36>1,4v) to run on 3,4ghz from the stock 2,6 90nm's hold up to 1,5v+ no worries.
dude 3,4GHz with stock voltage CAN'T be true. I am saying this cause i have e5300 and its not stable at 3,4GHz with stock voltage. Yeah ok i booted too in Windows with 3,4GHz but i then i ate a huge Blue Screen Of Death (BSOD) and went back to bios and tried ~3,2GHz. Then i ran Prime95 for about 14hours and my machine was stable and temperatures were about 52oC Max. So i suggest you to try prime95 and then see the BSOD :P
yeah its stock volt. every board is different, also CPU stepping, plus other things on the system like ram etc. getting it to 3.4Ghz is nothing, u can get that with just upping the bus speed
I just built my first PC 2 days ago with one of those. The voltage is 1.280 or something like that but I thought it was suppose to be 1.018 volts or something like that.
on first the post the motherboard will set the voltage to where it should be, not all motherboards will set it correctly or they will over volt. thats what ive noticed with mine, in all it wont damage any thing, if u want try and lower the voltage a little then go a head, but every thing is fine
@TylertheGeek28 is it seriously!?! now thats weird. the e5200 was like 1.18v. wow my apologies. Now thats weird that the vid is so high on that chip. Anyway nice
Not bad. Did you raise the core voltage and FSB frequency? Or did you leave those the same and just increase the multiplier factor a bit? FSB there is 1066MHz, and Vcore is 1.260v, I'm assuming that's stock?
My bad, I mistook the 8 for a 6 there. Vcore was 1.280. Video wasn't done processing yet and my vision isn't worth shit. I couldn't see it. LOL
I gained over a 1GHz increase when I overclocked my Core i7. Stock speed was 3.2GHz and I have it running at 4.6 now. You can overclock the shit out of an i7, they're great for that. I probably could have pushed it higher, but I didn't wanna take any chances. I have the Extreme Edition. VERY expensive.
lol thats ok man, i could have gotten a i7 975 yesterday for about $350 but i didnt have any money, i was so disappointed, thats awesome, the i9 980x i believe, is going to replace the 975, 6 core 12 thread, 32nm, 12mb cache, should be awesome
yea, im going to try and save up for one of those instead of some thing like a 920, gonna be around the same price as the 975 so i guess that isnt bad considering the performance and insanity
When is the i9 coming out? Probably in a few months I'm guessing? Sometime around March or April 2010 I think. They say that the i9 is compatible with socket 1366 and x58 based motherboards, so there's probably no need to upgrade there. Uses the same memory too. DDR3-1866. Just buy the processor and you're all set. :-)
why did you raise your timing ? higher losier rite?
JasonMediaCenter 1 year ago
@JasonMediaCenter I couldn't get it to post with higher timings, my ram holds me back quit a bit
right now its at 7-8-7-16 2.1 @ 744MHz from 5-5-5-15 1.8v 667MHz
TylertheGeek28 1 year ago
@TylertheGeek28 so if you still using 5-5-5-15 what will happen ?
JasonMediaCenter 1 year ago
@JasonMediaCenter the system won't post, the system will end up re-starting just because it goes to launch windows

i got my e5300 on a msi g31 overclocked to 3.6 on stock voltage , stable 24/24 whit huge gaming ! coupled whit a 9800gt

Never heard of Camtasia Studio & Camtasia Recorder? :( Sorry, but that's too bad. Never record a screen with your cam!

I have a Gigabyte motherboard too. The max my Dell motherboard pushes an Q8200 is 1.213v.
I think I'm just going to leave it as is.

I have the e5300@4ghz (334x12)
Try to set 333x10=3330mhz
and ram multi to 2.40B
It will be much faster, try the differences with superpi 1M :D

yea, kind of odd on voltage, tried pushing it farther but couldn't post not enough volt. kind of funny seen as it was high, no prob thanks 4 watching

i raised the multi and fsb, 800fsb x10 and 1.260-280 is stock on my board, give or take a little on volt in os, thanks 4 watching man
