Thank you. I've thought of putting something together like this because I read biographies and a lot of the people had people like this who hurt them. I know that the facts in three of these are true because I remember how pathetic it seemed to me at a certain point in their bios. I'm going to show this to some of my classes. You don't need to believe what someone says about you just because you've respected them in the past. Run with the possitive parts of yourself and you will win.

@Sidebar2468 Thank you. It's been a very rough 2 years. 2 years ago today I was still in the hospital. I almost lost my life on April 7th 2008 and my wife was pregnant with our son at the time too. So I'm glad I'm hear to be a Papa too him and he's the only brightness in the last two years. They haven't been great. It's a good video but the majority of this information is just skewed... for instance yes Jordan was cut from the basketball team but he was cut from the VARSITY SENIOR squad when he tried out as a FRESHMAN. But of course this video won't say that.
@ciyean Its presented in a way that it appears a little skewed yes. However, MJ the best b-ball player in the world getting cut from a highschool team is still huge. I've had friends that made the senior team during their freshman year. So that is not that big of a deal. And MJ couldnt even get a bench position? In my mind that is still big..
That's cute you have friends that were cut too. What you need to realize is that whatever rinky dink school you probably attended is not a good comparison AT ALL; Jordan went to Emsley A. Laney High School in Wilmington North Carolina. Being almost 6 foot his freshman year they figured he was TOO SHORT to play. Think about it. The team was full of monsters and MJ probably wasn't good enough yet thus it is not "HUGE". Thanks for your neat story though, it was cute, although a failed comparison.
You do realize nba has many players shorter then 6 feet. Muggsy Bogues is 5'3.. Height is always a factor but the point here is about whether he had the talent or not. Bryant made it to NBA when he was 17. MJ couldnt make the senior team when he was 15 or 16 years old (only 1-2 year difference). This is the best bball player in the world that we are talking about. Notice how you cling to the abnormalities in life (muggsy bogues) and preach as if the situation is ubiquitous for everyone. This video is intended for the masses, but unfortunately MJ and MB don't represent the masses; not by a LONG shot. Thus it is a non-sequitur to imply that if "MJ can do it so can YOU". Look it up cutie pie.

America is full of dreamers, which is great for the relative few, but for many people dreaming isn't enough; even more importantly hard-work and dedication isn't enough either. There are infinite factors that come into play and many of them you have no control over. I live in Hollywood and see hick town dreamers like you come here by the THOUSANDS and get SHOT DOWN by the industry. Myself? I'm 27 and make almost 6 figures. It's sad you're 47 near the end of your life and don't know all this.
@ciyean: I am 22 and I am a 4th year uni student. The argument that we were having was about whether MJ getting cut was a big deal or not. Not about whether this video is effective. Way to change the subject when you can not make your point. MB was one example there are many players that are below 6 feet in NBA. And ALOT more around 6 feet. My point wasnt that MJ can do it so can I. I dont know where you picked that up from...
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
All one would need to do is scroll up and read the whole point of this conversation is based on the truthfulness/accuracy of this video. You disputed my statement with the word "however", which is rhetorically important for what you said next. Your proof of "me say MJ get cut is HUGE" is just that, a proof to back up your argument and it fails for reasons I shouldn't need to reiterate. As the NBA doesn't represent the masses either. Nice shot there Sherlock, learn to keep up.
@ciyean: But hey make your self feel better by telling other people your salary. You must be real secure about your life... since you having to show of on the internet. LOL
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Unfortunately for you I have no need to show off for someone obviously less intelligent. And I truly mean that as a fact, not an insult. In the same way you stated that "you know friends who have been cut" substantiates your argument, even be it a poor one, me stating my monetary success in life substantiates my point, exponentially show. The only reason you feel my statement of fact is showing off is because it makes you feel insecure. Which is why you defaulted to displacement. Sorry.
I am not the one going around the internet stating my income. It seems as though you are filling in a void by trying to make yourself seem like a successful person. If you were secure you would have nothing to prove. Secondly, good job on ignoring the argument and taking it in a completely different direction when you lost.
That doesn't mean 12h/7d work will make you a successful person. That means you should educate yourself, practice as much as possible and first of all love your work if you want to be successful at what you do. If you don't love it=stress, overworking it=stress, not educated=low self esteem=stress... stress=alcohol+drugs=R.I.P...
his fiance died, he failed in business twice, he had a nervous breakdown, and he was defeated in 8 elections, thx to help, i am glad i could help, since its not my native, and i havent been in english speaking country sofar
It's not the first time I think about looking for the motivation for my life by the internet . However, it is the first video I watched when I seriously think about a way to help me to come over these days, to help me smile after almost 1 one year I forget how to smile
No lie nearly same thing hapened to me...this year i got cut from my high school basketball team and went home and cried because basketball is my fave sport and is my life but then later that night the coaches came to my house and asked me to be on the team. Weird huh?
All this video is saying is don't be afraid to try. It's not saying you will succeed. It's just saying, try! Even if your chance of succeeding is 0.001% , that is still higher than if you don't even try. However keep in mind, luck is most often preparation meeting opportunity. Look up Theodore Roosevelt's great quote too that starts with "It is not the critic who counts..."
To everyone commenting to Sweetypie000, pay attention to his profile:
"Let me start by saying I LOVE to wind people up ! People are so gullible it is too funny ! And, today I am so very much in a winding up mood ! Will you bite back with a comment and then read my profile? i know you will. My Mission: To make you angry. Mission Success Rate: 99.9% "
Don't feed the trolls. It's people like this who just don't "get it".
not trying to make people angry, trying to make people realise this video is a load of bullshit giving false hope to some poor soul out there from a background of nothingness that they can be the next president of the united states
in fact, this video is nothing more than a form of mind control and propaganda
and what u are saying is also a form of mind control the difference is that the video is inspiring people while u are tearing them and the video down. Just Saying
So being against the ppl that like this video, u are creating an image that its not working.. so they just look on your profile. So u dont even care about the video itself all u want that people view your profile.
If u dont need motivation that's your problem, but stop ruining for the people who needs it !
what "false" dreams?? if you have a dream, you have a goal, then you have to go for it and believe in yourself, do whatever you can to get there. Go on and never stop, even failing. Failure teaches a lot, but you have to be willing to learn. There's no such thing as a "false" dream.
so, to the people that were lucky to 'make it' you were just that - fortunate to have stability as a kid, lucky to have a base to always retreat too, blessed with financial assistance to take that first step.
don't kid yourselves and praise yourself too much because not many people succeed without the basics in life given to them. And MANY people don't have that luxury
I'm sure someones going to deny this to me but you are the one in denial
sweetypie...i read all those reply's...why be so negative..such an attitude gets you nowwhere...do me a favor and when you get up in the morning, think and say...today will be the best day of my life, live it as it was your last...you shall see how your life will change for the best...remember, what you are is what you attract...peace out.
They are supported by their parent into mid-life. They have a stable home base always available to them (a comfort). Their parents help them get their first mortgage, advise them, moddecoddle them
It's fine talking about how successful you are but you would not have made it without someones help. A base is very important and alot of people never have one to start out on a road to any kind of success
I just love the soundtrack of this video. Does anyone knows the name of it ??? Thanks

to get elected, But Ron Paul is saying what needs to be said. For a man to
hold the same views for over a decade SHOWS that he is not trying to get
your vote by saying things you want to hear but telling you the TRUTH.
This man is too good to be true in politics. I have the utmost RESPECT for this Man.....RON PAUL!

LOL

Sorry.
ciyean 1 year ago
I am not the one going around the internet stating my income. It seems as though you are filling in a void by trying to make yourself seem like a successful person. If you were secure you would have nothing to prove. Secondly, good job on ignoring the argument and taking it in a completely different direction when you lost.

That doesn't mean 12h/7d work will make you a successful person. That means you should educate yourself, practice as much as possible and first of all love your work if you want to be successful at what you do. If you don't love it=stress, overworking it=stress, not educated=low self esteem=stress... stress=alcohol+drugs=R.I.P...

All this video is saying is don't be afraid to try. It's not saying you will succeed. It's just saying, try! Even if your chance of succeeding is 0.001% , that is still higher than if you don't even try. However keep in mind, luck is most often preparation meeting opportunity. Look up Theodore Roosevelt's great quote too that starts with "It is not the critic who counts..."
kbs1138 2 years ago 3
Yes ! and most of the time just trying increases your chance from 0 % to waaaaay more than that !

It's people like this who just don't "get it".

screw the profile, what i've said is true
not trying to make people angry, trying to make people realise this video is a load of bullshit giving false hope to some poor soul out there from a background of nothingness that they can be the next president of the united states
in fact, this video is nothing more than a form of mind control and propaganda
sweetypie000 2 years ago
you are just one of those people i would like to pee on

sorry, i'm not into that kinky sick stuff, try deedlebag
btw, don't go hating me because i discredit this video and what it's telling people.
Can i help it if i'm relating the facts of the matter just because you fools can't see it?
sweetypie000 2 years ago
and what u are saying is also a form of mind control the difference is that the video is inspiring people while u are tearing them and the video down. Just Saying
poolgirl9311 2 years ago
So being against the ppl that like this video, u are creating an image that its not working.. so they just look on your profile. So u dont even care about the video itself all u want that people view your profile.
If u dont need motivation that's your problem, but stop ruining for the people who needs it !

if motivation to follow false dreams is what they seek then they will find it in this video if it makes them feel better
sweetypie000 2 years ago
what "false" dreams?? if you have a dream, you have a goal, then you have to go for it and believe in yourself, do whatever you can to get there.

I'm sure someones going to deny this to me but you are the one in denial
bon appetite
sweetypie000 2 years ago
sweetypie...i read all those reply's...why be so negative..such an attitude gets you nowwhere...do me a favor and when you get up in the morning, think and say...today will be the best day of my life, live it as it was your last...you shall see how your life will change for the best...remember, what you are is what you attract...peace out.
MisteryZone 2 years ago
sure i will hold that in mind like i and people i know always did since they were a kid though it amounts to a sum of beans
people get nowhere without stability and a helping hand and treading on people / brown nosing
as i said, thousands and thousands try and fail but you don't hear of them though the graveyard is full of them
you only hear the success stories
this video gives 'hope' not reality
sweetypie000 2 years ago
Well @least they tried :D
poolgirl9311 2 years ago
People that do success rarely come from nowhere
They are supported by their parent into mid-life. They have a stable home base always available to them (a comfort). Their parents help them get their first mortgage, advise them, moddecoddle them
It's fine talking about how successful you are but you would not have made it without someones help. A base is very important and alot of people never have one to start out on a road to any kind of success
Theres a few 'self ma
