  • great great Great Video

  • that is why underdog champion of the people RON PAUL is going to become President and help us reclaim our Liberties and get our Country back!

  • Comment removed

  • @jahibbyutube ALL the other candidates are saying what they feel like they need to? say

to get elected, But Ron Paul is saying what needs to be said. For a man to

hold the same views for over a decade SHOWS that he is not trying to get

your vote by saying things you want to hear but telling you the TRUTH.

This man is too good to be true in politics. I have the utmost RESPECT for this Man.....RON PAUL!

  • I think it's a great truth! Thanks for sharing!

  • Great video, Maynor! Should have more views.

  • What's the name of teh background music ????

  • Thank you. I've thought of putting something together like this because I read biographies and a lot of the people had people like this who hurt them. I know that the facts in three of these are true because I remember how pathetic it seemed to me at a certain point in their bios. I'm going to show this to some of my classes. You don't need to believe what someone says about you just because you've respected them in the past. Run with the possitive parts of yourself and you will win.

  • I have my medical college entrance exam coming up and this helped alot :)

  • mmm pretty good comments here...positive thinking, c00l! i wish most comments would be like this :)... lincoln is in a penny thoguh? i just noticed that's...a bit strange tho....

  • Interesting Video on Failure and Risk is it in you..!!

  • It's interesting how the video above could be summed up as a reminder that we should never give up. The video shows a fresh look about the issue and that I think how it deserves our attention. I like the editing and captions, too.

  • Simply Fantastic.

  • When I feel defeated I look at this video. It gives me a time to pause.

  • It's not about how hard you can hit, it's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward...

  • Wonderful video!

  • WOW, I couldn't have seen this at a better time. I cried so hard, this was just what I needed. Thank you so much !

  • Michael Jordan was never cut, he made JV his freshman year when he thought he should have been on Varsity.

  • Nice, except Thomas Edison didn't invent the lightbulb, he just stole credit for it

  • @arouska Thats what I was gonna say NICKOLA TESLA SHOULD BE ON HERE!!!! He was a true genius that was help back by people with money and power (JP Morgans). He had free electricity for us all to use, all we needed was antenna. Look into it! Lets change this world to really be free and work on a better space program! So we can all explore space and other galaxies rather then just watching it in shows.

"Trying is the first step to failure"

  • I want that background music. Does anyone know where I can get it? :]

  • Will someone please please caption this video so I can share it with my deaf and hard of hearing friends. I would but, heh, I am hard of hearing myself.

  • failing is not bad, giving up is bad

  • i watched this video in math also!!

  • I love to see this video. It always cheers me up :-)

  • A great 60 seconds of encouragement!! Those that succeed fail. But, a slight correction, Rutledge wasn't Lincoln's fiancée, and he lost his mom, step-mom and sister.

  • Study study study! -_-

  • Failing is a super important part of growing. However Thomas Edison and Walt Disney were complete A**holes and they should be remembered that way.

  • full of losers

  • I like this. gotta favorite it. Might play it before i work out

  • Love it! Thanks for uploading!

  • fail is a good thing?

  • @DrBraids

yes....sometimes you have fail many times to succeed.

  • There is no better teacher than Failure. It's the gateway to success

  • I love this video so much.. It keeps on motivating me.. This video is on the top of my favorite list :)

  • for every one of these examples, you could find dozens of others where the people who were thought incapable really were.

  • yea, it means you shouldn't be affraid of or stop despite any difficulties in your life to achieve goals that you have.

  • i got to give you five for the video, superb, really inspirational and motivated

  • @vjfan67

i've also experienced that same feeling my friend, all i have to do is relaxed and dont mind about the outcome, try to be natural, don't be eager and too excited about the outcome. The more you think about it the more time you've already wasted about doing better. Just remember these phrase "No one is remembered by losing,it is how you played your loss"

  • @vjfan67 try STUDYING instead of just trying harder.

  • Thank you for posting it.

  • i need to put myself out there more im afraid of failure

  • I just got cut from the all-state basketball team. this makes me feel a little better since it happened to michael jordan as well, the greatest ever.

  • this makes me feel better :)

  • thank you. i wasted 2 pounds and i felt as a failure. mines is nothing compared to theirs

  • Failure seems to have been the staple for me life the last two years. I've never failed so much in my life. The one thing I haven't failed at yet is being a dad to my son. I don't plan to fail and I will do anything in my power not to fail him. He's my Sunshine and whole reason for life. Atleast I've got him.

  • @Greasemonkey1982 You're a good man. I can tell you as long as you don't give up things will begin to fall in place. Do be afraid to reach out for help, it sounds like you must have a lot on your plate. I am going to keep you & your son in my prayers!

  • @Sidebar2468 "Don't be afraid to reach out..."

  • @Sidebar2468 Thank you. It's been a very rough 2 years. 2 years ago today I was still in the hospital. I almost lost my life on April 7th 2008 and my wife was pregnant with our son at the time too. So I'm glad I'm hear to be a Papa too him and he's the only brightness in the last two years. They haven't been great. Got to achieve my dreams of being a Police Officer but then inter departmental politics took that dream away from me. It's been a really rough road. He's my reason for life.

  • @Greasemonkey1982

"He's my Sunshine and whole reason for life. Atleast I've got him."

Don't you ever f***ing forget that...no matter what.

  • YOUTUBE FIGHT!!!!!!!

  • Hulk Hogan broke his leg in his very first match and thought about quitting wrestling forever. He came back a year later and he became a legend in sports entertainment.

  • This gave me a great attitude adjustment. At fifty-three I guess my hopes to finish my first book and CD to promote internationally is not impossible for me to still make a life dream come true. Thanks for putting this on Youtube. You are truly a blessing in my life and many, many others. Thanks, Kyleellen

  • Time to turn this life around!

    ....starting tomorrow!

    woot!

  • it took thomas edison 2000 tries to create the lightbulb, when an interviewer asked him "what did it feel like to fail 2000 times?".. Thomas edison replied "I never failed, it was a 2000 step process to success"

  • I've heard different variations on that story, but with the same basic idea. I LOVE that quote!

  • It's a good video but the majority of this information is just skewed... for instance yes Jordan was cut from the basketball team but he was cut from the VARSITY SENIOR squad when he tried out as a FRESHMAN. But of course this video won't say that.

  • @ciyean Its presented in a way that it appears a little skewed yes. However, MJ the best b-ball player in the world getting cut from a highschool team is still huge. I've had friends that made the senior team during their freshman year. So that is not that big of a deal. And MJ couldnt even get a bench position? In my mind that is still big..

  • That's cute you have friends that were cut too. What you need to realize is that whatever rinky dink school you probably attended is not a good comparison AT ALL; Jordan went to Emsley A. Laney High School in Wilmington North Carolina. Being almost 6 foot his freshman year they figured he was TOO SHORT to play. Think about it. The team was full of monsters and MJ probably wasn't good enough yet thus it is not "HUGE". Thanks for your neat story though, it was cute, although a failed comparison.

  • You do realize nba has many players shorter then 6 feet. Muggsy Bogues is 5'3.. Height is always a factor but the point here is about whether he had the talent or not. Bryant made it to NBA when he was 17. MJ couldnt make the senior team when he was 15 or 16 years old (only 1-2 year difference). This is the best bball player in the world that we are talking about. If you dont see why people find that surprising then something is wrong with you.

and stop using the word cute, what are you a fag?

  • @ciyean: I am 22 and I am a 4th year uni student. The argument that we were having was about whether MJ getting cut was a big deal or not. Not about whether this video is effective. Way to change the subject when you can not make your point. MB was one example there are many players that are below 6 feet in NBA. And ALOT more around 6 feet. My point wasnt that MJ can do it so can I. I dont know where you picked that up from...

  • @ciyean: But hey make your self feel better by telling other people your salary. You must be real secure about your life... since you having to show of on the internet. LOL

  • I am not the one going around the internet stating my income. It seems as though you are filling in a void by trying to make yourself seem like a successful person. If you were secure you would have nothing to prove. Secondly, good job on ignoring the argument and taking it in a completely different direction when you lost.

  • @ciyean FYI, 47 is not near the end of your life unless your a horse. LOL

  • @ciyean @ciyean ,,, FYI, 47 is not near the end of your life unless you're a horse. LOL

  • great video. verry inspirational.... :)

  • perfect ..what I needed

  • That doesn't mean 12h/7d work will make you a successful person. That means you should educate yourself, practice as much as possible and first of all love your work if you want to be successful at what you do. If you don't love it=stress, overworking it=stress, not educated=low self esteem=stress... stress=alcohol+drugs=R.I.P...

  • lol, so tru!

  • god bless America! save the countries future, to save ours, what do all of these people have in common? FREEDOM!

  • world's greatest - motivational video watch?v=cnDFWs0Gq80

  • Always remember: BE YOURSELF! Unless you suck.

  • Yea, I fail all the time. -:)

  • @Mrmoc7 Dont give Up !

  • @Mrmoc7 never a failure, always a lesson.

  • @Mrmoc7 No matter.Try again,fail again.Fail better.

  • Now I shy to open my mouth to talk to anyone, buy maybe oneday I become a skilled orator

  • @tranthimydung203

    You can do it.

  • Thanks for believing Captainquirk24

  • u have to practice at it

  • It's not the first time I think about looking for the motivation for my life by the internet . However, it is the first video I watched when I seriously think about a way to help me to come over these days, to help me smile after almost 1 one year I forget how to smile

  • Fucking epic.

  • well nice video, but I do suppose that sometimes things dont end well like that

  • they will if you try hard enough

  • they do just work hard for it. you can be whatever you want to be.

  • No lie nearly same thing hapened to me...this year i got cut from my high school basketball team and went home and cried because basketball is my fave sport and is my life but then later that night the coaches came to my house and asked me to be on the team. Weird huh?

  • wierd

  • Brilliant!Love the music aswell!

  • nice

  • All this video is saying is don't be afraid to try. It's not saying you will succeed. It's just saying, try! Even if your chance of succeeding is 0.001% , that is still higher than if you don't even try. However keep in mind, luck is most often preparation meeting opportunity. Look up Theodore Roosevelt's great quote too that starts with "It is not the critic who counts..."

  • Yes ! and most of the time just trying increases your chance from 0 % to waaaaay more than that !

  • very optimistic. good point.

  • Luck Favours The Prepared

  • Yes ! Only those who don't do anything don't never have to experience failure , but their whole life will be one .

  • To everyone commenting to Sweetypie000, pay attention to his profile:

"Let me start by saying I LOVE to wind people up ! People are so gullible it is too funny ! And, today I am so very much in a winding up mood ! Will you bite back with a comment and then read my profile? i know you will. My Mission: To make you angry. Mission Success Rate: 99.9% "

Don't feed the trolls. It's people like this who just don't "get it".

  • you are just one of those people i would like to pee on

  • sorry, i'm not into that kinky sick stuff, try deedlebag

btw, don't go hating me because i discredit this video and what it's telling people.

Can i help it if i'm relating the facts of the matter just because you fools can't see it?

  • and what u are saying is also a form of mind control the difference is that the video is inspiring people while u are tearing them and the video down. Just Saying

  • So being against the ppl that like this video, u are creating an image that its not working.. so they just look on your profile. So u dont even care about the video itself all u want that people view your profile.

If u dont need motivation that's your problem, but stop ruining for the people who needs it !

  • what "false" dreams?? if you have a dream, you have a goal, then you have to go for it and believe in yourself, do whatever you can to get there. Go on and never stop, even failing. Failure teaches a lot, but you have to be willing to learn. There's no such thing as a "false" dream.

  • making people angry is the easiest thing in the world. i really dont get that attitude, makes zero sense to me. poor guy.

  • keep living in a dream world fool

  • cool

  • so, to the people that were lucky to 'make it' you were just that - fortunate to have stability as a kid, lucky to have a base to always retreat too, blessed with financial assistance to take that first step.

don't kid yourselves and praise yourself too much because not many people succeed without the basics in life given to them. And MANY people don't have that luxury

I'm sure someones going to deny this to me but you are the one in denial

    bon appetite

  • sweetypie...i read all those reply's...why be so negative..such an attitude gets you nowwhere...do me a favor and when you get up in the morning, think and say...today will be the best day of my life, live it as it was your last...you shall see how your life will change for the best...remember, what you are is what you attract...peace out.

  • sure i will hold that in mind like i and people i know always did since they were a kid though it amounts to a sum of beans

people get nowhere without stability and a helping hand and treading on people / brown nosing

as i said, thousands and thousands try and fail but you don't hear of them though the graveyard is full of them

you only hear the success stories

this video gives 'hope' not reality

  • Well @least they tried :D

  • People that do success rarely come from nowhere

They are supported by their parent into mid-life. They have a stable home base always available to them (a comfort). Their parents help them get their first mortgage, advise them, moddecoddle them

It's fine talking about how successful you are but you would not have made it without someones help. A base is very important and alot of people never have one to start out on a road to any kind of success

    Theres a few 'self ma
