Maybe these lines explain it "both on separate flights" and then during the chorus "lost on separate flights". The video animation makes me think of the documentaries about the KAL 007 tragedy.

Think of time zones though. It may have been sunny in Hawaii when the flight left but at Kennedy it gets dark 5 hrs. earlier, not to mention the time it would take to fly that distance. All the same I agree, great song!

Sorry, too long ago.... I prefer flying smaller aircrafts and helicopters and only loaded the 747 to do that video. Must have been a switch on the panel.... ;o)

The flight started at Honolulu, Hawaii (KHNL) with destination New York (KJFK), just draw a line on a map to see the course.

I started with FS9 standard daylight settings, then switched to standard night settings and played around with date and time to find a nice full-moon at the correct position. If i remember correctly, the big moon was between 0400 and 0500 UTC around xmas in the end of the 90th. The rest? Sorry, i don't know. ;o)
