i liked inflames better when they played their old fantasy inspierd music. i think it would be great if they hold it to that kind of music. it was that sound that made them become famous from the beginnig. Their sound was uniqe.

i love how the new style of in flames focuses on chorus, they elaborate it more than the old in flames, but obviousl this is less melodic than in flames from jester race, being flexible this song is good, btw theres not a band that can mantain a style for all their career so in flames considering waht happend to metallica, had a good evolution

In Flames in the 90's were the best. Reroute to Remain was decent, but it was noticeably their transition phase where they started to get all mainstream for the emo fags. After that, a lot of the screaming stopped, and the songs just weren't as memorable as they used to be. If I ever go to one of their concerts, I hope they play a lot of their older stuff, because I just don't enjoy their newer stuff that much. Great band though, just I don't like the changes.
i actualy can hear their progression from then to now. im just glad they gradually evolved than one record being clayman and then follow up being come clarity, makes change easy to deal with.

Everyone always downgrades "new in flames", and says they will miss them.... In flames has been around 18 years! 18 YEARS!!!!!!!!!! You can't honestly say that over 18 years ANYONE or ANYTHING won't change! In my opinion In flames has matured as a band and has reached near perfection... I love both "old and new" In flames. I appreciate that after such a long time they are still doing their thing, because

They have tried to live up to Come Claritys refrains, which was incredable in my opinion. This song is good, but I don't like the Refrain, Anders should growl more then he does, and it is to geeky....

geeky?! you have to realize they speak a different language as their native tongue. "i clench you" might be their interpretation of some they might say in swedish that would be aesthetically pleasing to the ears. also, this is just a demo version.

i fucking love in flames.for me is the best band in whole world.COLONY is the best album i have ever heard.until 98 i thought that kill'em all and master of puppets were the best.from 98 till today after hearing more than 500 bands and thousands of albums,i surely claim that COLONY is the absolute diamond in music industry,not only in metal.

I'm a die-hard In Flames fan, but this song is just... meh. I prefered the songs from Come Clarity to this, and I thought they weren't that great compared to Clayman and Reroute to Remain.

Just how In Flames is basically the father of "Melodic" Death Metal.
These guys took it further and made their own style of metal, and they're fucking amazing
Come Clarity was just simply amazing for the record. All of their albums were.

yea...and melodic metal is pretty much for pussies who have nightmares when they listen to violent metal...i love em both...some days you need to chill but others you need to fuck up a face...
and they dont have their own style...every other "melodic" metal sounds like this...but i enjoi most of it...im not hating but you cant really compare those two styles...and come clarity sucked...the worst I.F. album...except for crawl through knives...awesome riff...

Yeah but the final version is so easy to find these days, it's on their myspace for a start.
I uploaded this in July before everyone had heard it.
The final version sounds better, but I think it's cool to contrast a finished product with the demo.

I agree that the older albums are WAY better then the new. But if IF likes this route better, then its okay with me and ill stop buying their albums and start to listen their old stuff or other stuff I like. (dei Mortis, Suidakra)

In Flames in the 90's were the best. Reroute to Remain was decent, but it was noticeably their transition phase where they started to get all mainstream for the emo fags. After that, a lot of the screaming stopped, and the songs just weren't as memorable as they used to be. If I ever go to one of their concerts, I hope they play a lot of their older stuff, because I just don't enjoy their newer stuff that much. Great band though, just I don't like the changes.

i actualy can hear their progression from then to now. im just glad they gradually evolved than one record being clayman and then follow up being come clarity, makes change easy to deal with.
btw, whats peter tune to on the 4,5,6 string basses?
(were's the bottom end at, all i see are guitar players GREAT ones and NOT so great ones, but bassists?, not so much, very few bassist.)

who cares if they changed, i dont think IF is doing it for the money i think there simply doing it because there sick of writing like there old stuff. when a band changes their style it opens up new oppurtunities in writing music, if any of u hater`s know anything about music. i love every song they have writen and it will always be that way
