If he were genuinely compassionate and concerned about what happened, wouldn't Hillary be supporting him instead of Obama?

McCain is simply a puppet. He does not remember these "forgotten" facts that he reads from the teleprompters because he does not believe them or has ever thought of them nor is he eloquent enough to express them. His prewritten statements are problematic for him, because he is simply reciting and not feeling his words and their meaning. That is also why he fails to move his people in speeches.
Simple: The majority of Americans are stupid and they like stupid leaders. It took Bush committing every crime imaginable and 7 years for the vast stupid majority to get the idea that he was not very bright although very evil. The rest of the world knew it before he was appointed the first time. McSame has a good chance to win by counting on the Stupid Vote
