  • If I were to use this in a video, how should I go about crediting you???

  • @BeTheAwakened

Just credit me, Arafúra and mention a link to the main website: ArafuraMusic [d o t] com.

  • @DemoColorScheme Okay. thanks!

  • Flying free...

  • Quality sounds and atmosphere - thanks for sharing!

  • @MoonTribe

    Thanks.

  • @MoonTribe Me too

  • @mortedabizerra

    Thanks.

  • you guys should check out Rems Floating Chandelier:)

  • Thanks for the fmt tip! Played beautifully loud on my laptop!

  • I want to venture into making this kind of music.

  • beautyfull.

  • @watkinscopicat

    Thank you!

  • Beautiful sound...thank you for such a lovely morning:) I adore Hammock and I find comfort here...

  • @666ligeia

Aww, that's sweet, miss! Thank you so much!

  • Wow again, awesome. What are your influences? I take it you are a Sigúr Rós fan? Are you a musician by trade or is it just a hobby?

  • @hubar1565

Thanks. I'm no musician by trade, but I would say it's more than 'just a hobby'. And yeah, I love Sigur Rós, but also love hammock, eluvium, Helios and so, so, so much more. Check out my lastfm by typing in 'DemoColorScheme' in the search bar. You'll find my profile there and you can see what I love to listen to.

  • I like it !!!!!

  • @henkzzzz

    Thanks!

  • Nice thanks! When it comes to pedals, what is your reverb/delay of choice? I love reverb+delay stuff too, and I've had great results with my EHX Cathedral+RV-3+DL-4.

  • @hubar1565

Check out my latest video 'Arafúra - Latest Rig Update [Ambient / Dream-Pop / Shoegaze / Post-Rock : Rack / Pedalboard]' to see what I use.

  • Wow, I've heard great ambient stuff, but this stands out! Do you have any albums/tracks out? I assume so but I wanted to ask.

  • @hubar1565

Thanks! I'm working on finishing the upcoming debut EP, so stay tuned and subscribe to the channel.

  • Hey is there a way to create these types of swells with a DD-20, and could you maybe consider making an instructional video so we could get a visual for settings like BPM and so forth... great tone by the way.

  • @ApotheosiZ

Well, to be a douche, but, no. This mostly is reverb, software reverb.

  • @DemoColorScheme No problem I figured it out on my own and it was pointless to ask a dumb question like that, also I was aware that this was software reverb just was curious about how to do the same thing live.

  • @ApotheosiZ

No man! It wasn't a dumb question at all, really! I'm using this live to, by the way.

  • I have an old 70''s mxr script what did you mod on yours? and what volume pedal do you use for the swells?

  • @smartti1970

A mate of mine, in the Netherlands modded mine.

And I actually don't use a volume pedal but I rely solely on the DL-4's Auto-Volume Echo (volume envelope).

  • @DemoColorScheme oh ok dont you know what he modded? oh you only use the dl4 auto volume ! so does it swell the dry sound too ?

  • @smartti1970

I don't know what he did INTERNALLY but he made it TB, Hi-Fi, put a LED in it and connected a 9V power supply input. If you want more info on how to reach him, just send me a message.

And yeah, the DL-4 swells the dry sound. You can add delay and modulation, but the initial swell is always on the dry sound.

  • @DemoColorScheme ok, hey and thanks very much for your replyes

  • @smartti1970

    My pleasure!

  • Awesome stuff.

  • Great new sound for you Michel!

  • @KristineLivingston

    Thanks, hon!

  • @andy92811

Nope. As you can see, it's not in the description anymore. I've never been a big fan of them and I'm gonna let RAT's be what they are - and that's that. I've switched over to a Musket Fuzz V2 but am also eying a BJFE Model H! ;)

  • @andy92811

It's just fine. It was extremely close to the Keeley C4, but the Keeley took away some highs but added some lows and the Dyna Comp Script RI took away a bit of lows and left the highs exactly intact. The Hi-Fi mod that's on it now makes it a little different from the Keeley, a little more Hi-Fi, but with the same characteristics. I like it!

  • positief verrast! Had eigenlijk nooit echt wat gehoord

    (K) Marieke

  • @unodostrash

Oh, thanks, mop! Dat is fijn om te horen!

  • Great stuff, as always.

  • @jkdeadite

    Thanks, John!

  • @andy92811

I knew people would get it! It's kind of a play on words. ;)

  • You are just great, man :-) love this music... if you're ever going to release, count me in...

  • @mariahkoko

Thanks! It's funny, since this track is really minimalistic. Consider the future stuff to be more full, even, since Arafúra now consist of three people, including cello and extra guitar + keys.

  • @DemoColorScheme cello and guitar+keys? that sounds really good, can't wait for the new tracks :-) oh and i totally want it as an MP3 :-) actually i want everything you've done so far with Arafúra :-D

  • I'll PM you the link, since YouTube doesn't allow it. I'll also post it in the description.

  • @mariahkoko

Oh, by the way, if you want this as an MP3, let me know!

  • cool as usual, man =)

  • @myckyc

    Thanks!

  • Brilliant work my friend. Cheers!

  • @TeaFarmRecordings

    I'm flattered!

  • just like hammock! i hope to be doing some of this soon too, sounds great

  • @mcmusterd

Indeed. hammock must've rubbed off on me, though in no way I'm trying to copy them. I was doing this stuff way before I knew of hammock. I listen to hammock BECAUSE I love stuff like this.

  • very soothing. I think this just made my day;)

  • @tatoi

That's what I love to hear! Thanks, Tomo!

  • Great job my friend. I love what you do. Which reverbs are you using in Ableton? I have Ableton 7.106 or something. Anyway, beautiful stuff. I love it. Great quality really.

  • @cosmogang

Thanks, Alex! You're too kind. :)

And I was using Ableton Live 6.01's standard reverbs. I just really tweaked them! ;) And the quality COULD be better though. I recorded this at a really low volume, so the noise floor could be improved when I start recording loud. Next time, I'll move myself to another room as well. Now and then you can hear the pick attack through the mikes, and I want to completely get rid of them. So, I'll just move further away.

  • Emotive and epic tune.

  • @isolatedoddball

Thanks! That's quite the flattering description!

  • Listening to it now, and man! It sounds soooooooo good!

  • @amarr1

Thanks, mate! It was actually a lot of fiddling to get it THIS huge. Can you believe it's just two guitars? I'm writing the description right now, so you'll see a detailed explanation of what I did (if you care! ;)) - a lot of the sound is actually from Ableton Live's reverb!
