Except for Komova and Tan Sixin, the rest of the young gymnasts pretty much sucked and clearly aren't at the same skill level as the Seniors. Truth is, Junior gymnasts who are good enough to compete with the Seniors are rare and, unlike what you are suggesting, they are good despite their young age, not because of it.

Look at them now they Jiang YuYuan and Deng linlin still look the same they are just naturally tiny, Most powerful gymnasts are actually larger, look at the American and Russian teams for 2011 worlds now they are still small, no way they were nine I was a gymnast and it takes many years to develop those types of skills. He Kexin is the only one who might have been underaged but this has been happening for years (Soviets,duhh)

@looneytoonsindville Look again. Even Linlin had boobs at 2008 Olympics. I'm 32 and have no hips. One baby tooth had to be removed @ 19 and the adult tooth was brought down cosmetically.

@fahrenheitrox97 Actually, that's not true...(for the record, I'm not saying the Chinese cheated or that I agree with this video)...but younger gymnasts are lighter and more flexible, giving them the ability to travel higher, faster, etc. They're also less fearful and more willing to risk big tricks. That's why countries have been falsifying ages for decades, including N. Korea, the former Soviet Union, and unfortunately, China.

@QueenieQue Anyone who watched the Youth Olympic gymnastic competition wouldn't say that. Except for Komova and Tan Sixin, the rest of the young gymnasts pretty much sucked and clearly aren't at the same skill level as the Seniors. Truth is, Junior gymnasts who are good enough to compete with the Seniors are rare and, unlike what you are suggesting, they are good despite their young age, not because of it.
