I had my laryngectomee Aug. 10, 2006.. A day I will never forget.. 14 hrs of surgery you dont forget.. They removed my larynx and I now speak with an electrolarynx.. the machine held to my throat... This is disgusting what this lady is doing and everyone laughing.. I have not picked up a cig since my surgery and wish others could quit as I did... I really feel for this lady to have people like this encouraging her to smoke.. poor poor lady..

Juggy, I can inform you as a Doctor that none of your arguments with jmr1068204 bear any facts. It is true that marijuana does have a similar effect on the human body and nervous system as high grade pain killers such as morphine or demoral (meperidine) where cannibinoid receptors in the brain change from their original focus and allow patients to enter a sort of unaware state as far as the pain is concerned. Millions in testing is showing 100% positive results. I do not use marijuana myself.

from what i understand smoking used to be quite healthy, just like a glass of whine used to keep the doc away. Tobacco used to serve as a natural way to help sooth the nerves. Now a days Phillip and morris get payed extra, to add the worst chemicals to treat their tobacco. Its true because just a couple of years back, they added a chemical known as FSC. When smoke is introduced into the body where it shouldn't be, that's what causes cancer and other problems. Cancer is, by definition, cells that are "out of control" and growing in a way that they shouldn't because something that didn't belong in the body was introduced into the body anyway.

@Juggyclownin Do you even know what cancer and carcinogens are? Cancer are cells that are growing out of control, in an abnormal way than they naturally should. Carcinogens are chemicals or physical agents that encourage cells to eventually develop cancer. Anything out of the ordinary in the body is basically a cancer risk. Breathing in smoke is one. Eating fattening foods all of the time is one. You mention "1 blunt"...is that for the entire lifetime? No. So therefore it's a constant thing.

The smoke from the marijuana plant itself can also react badly with cells in the lungs, and eventually cause lung cancer. That smoke from the plant itself is in fact an agent with potential to cause the cells in the lungs to go haywire. Secondly, no cancer patient is going to admit that they smoked marijuana.
