hi. i just hurt my knees last night on a basketball game. i don't know what happened but i manage to continue and finish the game. the injury occurred after a few run on the floor. i'm an active person and i'm only 18y/o, 5,4 , 170lbs . i hike, play ball, run etc. do you think due to these activities cause the pain in my knees? hope to get some advises from you. thanks.
@exonnnnnn Injury can occur due to various reasons. If you are very active you are most likely increasing chances of injury just because of wear and tear. Doesn't mean that you should stop your athletic activities, however once you have an injury you want to make sure you take care of it and not let it become a chronic problem. If it seems serious at all, should get it checked out by a physical therapist. Don't keep pushing an injured joint or it will become a major problem.
Do you have any advice for bad tracking of the vmo? The lower part of my knee becomes inflamed while running.... My hip abductors are stable and a month of concentrated vmo work hasnt helped... the only course I know is to concentrate ont he larger vm. It only hurts while running but my anti-pronation shoes are more than two years old. It only effect my left knee
Hi. I had an injury too my right knee some years ago for which I had physio. lately If I go walking for some time the next day the lower right side of my back aches. I tried wearing a knee support which helped. I had leg strengthening exercises to do and was wandering if i should start them again or just wear the knee support.
@WIREDFORGO Definitely do your leg strengthening exercises if the leg seems to be weak. Weak muscles around the knee joint might be causing you to change your walking pattern resulting in low back pain. You can also wear you knee brace to support the joint while you are working on getting the muscles stronger. If the low back pain persists, get it checked out because it might be a separate issue in addition to the knee problem. Hope this helps.
Thank you for your wonderful video! You really helped me understand some things.
I had a knee meniscus repair surgery 40 days ago, and I had a lot of my lateral meniscus shaved. My ACL is around 40% torn, but I was told that a proper rehab, and a lot of knee straightening, I will be able to return to heavy sports activity after few months. Can you please tell me if you think, that I should insist for an ACL replacement?
@ELGekp I would give yourself more time before you return to heavy sports activity, especially since you have a 40% tear of the ACL and the meniscus was repaired not excised. A proper rehab program is a must if you want to go back to high level athletic activities. The concern is that if you don't give it enough time to rehab the ACL might tear completely. I would give it 6-12 months and see if you are pain free and the knee feels stable and strong before you decide to get another surgery.
Thank you so much for replying! I will follow your advice and I will wait as much as it needs to heal properly. I will build very strong muscles around my knee, to increase its stability, before starting any sport activity. Then I guess only time will show. At least now I feel some difference in my knee. The strange uncomfortable feeling inside of it is gone.
I will subscribe to your channel, and I hope that helps in a way, because you and your videos need more popularity.
@ELGekp Trust me after a few months you def can return to sports at full speed. I tore my quad tendon(right above my kneecap) and started rehab with REALLY light weights, then as I moved up in weight, I wore the double-strap knee brace, once I got used to lifting heavy weights w/the knee brace I; start of lifting heavy w/brace, then take brace off(next set) and lft light-medium weight, then put the brace back on and lift heavy for the last set. +medicine, fruit/vegs, and prayer!!!
Thanks. I got the 2nd surgery for the ACL, and I'm starting to feel different now, that my muscles are slowly growing back trough working out. I feel a lot more confident already! :)

this video helped alot in accessing my knee injuries...
I have very strong quads and I was concerned why they were not contracting as easily during R.I.C.E stage.
