  • S&R. First on, last out

  • this is the life im willing to live for the rest of my life...

  • @Charlie b man I understand your pissed but don't Drop to his level by arguing he may not realize what we do or what we put ourselves through but there is some firefighters at every department that brags about it and acts like the privilege to save a life is a crown one day when he is old and goes into cardiac arrest and the quick and precision of a medic brings him back then he will be thankful until then pay him no attention that's all he wants

  • @Redneckmudder336 true that and thats the way i see it to. Nobody appreciates anything we do until we come to their door step.

  • The 14 people who hate this video are firefighter haters

  • FOR ALL YOU HATERS. Ask yourself this....... When have you ever had to put yourself on the vurge of life and death. I do it everytime i leave the station in the engine. If only you had the chance to see and do the things i have and all other brother firefighters have. But you couldnt handle it. You would end up in an isane institute.

  • @charlieb131

Ok you lost me in the first statement of yours. Haters? Haters on firefighters? What the hell has this world come to? >.>

  • @abzvinny318 if you hate firefighters why are u watching this video and commenting on it?

  • @charlieb131

You're not replying to me are you? If you are, you're just retarded. No where did I say I hate firefighters. My statement was more of the exact opposite, actually.

  • @abzvinny318 no my bad i took it as sarcasm. my apoligies brother. misinterpreted is all. my bad

  • @charlieb131

I should also apologize for replying harshly like I did. It wasn't necessary of me.

  • @charlieb131 That is the fucken queerest, narcissistic comment I have ever read. Two BBQ’s and Two sleeps! That is the LIFE of a firetruck driver. You clowns don’t do shit, but blow your own horns on how fucken great your. Tell you what, swing by my house and blow my horn faggots. Like your mom last night!! Oh and do the world a favour and shut the fuck up, do your job, and for Christ sakes stop telling everyone how great you are at it. Bitch!

  • Comment removed

  • @charlieb131 I fail to see the problem?? Wait I know---- you can't do you fucken job???? Retard you fucken heros couldn't save a foundation. SHUT THE FUCK UP LOOSER!~

  • @thewheathead yeah ok coming from the guy that has never done anything in his life except suck dick. Once u stop sucking cock for a living then i MIGHT consider talking to u until then SHUT YOUR FUCKING MOUTH. Your just jealous.

  • good vid but harrible song

  • in 15 and im with a volunteer fire department. i witnessed a fallen firefighter, so my message to all firefighters is be safe out there no matter what the risk might hold.

  • @fantosonium. It just pisses me off how he puts himself on the line to save others lives and lay his onthe line if need be and all people wanna do is call them ass holes and dicks they see so much shot on the job it would make ordinary people go insane all it may take is for his house to catch fire and he get trapped and then saved by a firefighter before he realizes

  • My dad is a fire fighter all I can say is he works his ass of he puts his life on the line day in and day out fuck whoever said they are assholes my dad was blown through a wall in a flashover wenever he was searching for a woman he stil got up and continued to search till he found her he works through the night alot of times and comes home the next day and sleeps all day till dinner then goes back to sleep so do us all a favor u ungrateful whore wash ur mouth out with buckshot

  • @Redneckmudder336

ahh don't worry about him, he said what he said cause he wanted mass responses. Men like your father are heroes, and a youtube comment will never prove otherwise

  • all i can say is who ever said that firefgihters are sassholes, come tell me that to my face fucker. ill fuck u up u stupid fuck, u dont have any respect i hope you get in a wreck and they take their time cutting you out

  • i was at the fire on the squad at :43 i am in the video from 2:09-2:13 and i was the second in on the fire at 2:40 great video

  • ahh yes the one or two assholes, Come down to Charleston SC and tell that to the nine families, or better yet go to FDNY and tell that to the 343 families, the list goes on and I think you get it. I am sure you will not make it out of the city without them knocking you off your high horse.

  • Firefighters are chumps. Especially the ones in Gilbert, az. They like to start fights with kids half their age at a city basketball league.

  • What's the youngest a fire fighter may e?

  • im 18 and been a fire fghter for almost two years now the best thing ive done by far every time my tones go off i get an andrenilne rush and cant wait to ee what comes my way all of us fire fighter are brothers and people who dont think our job is hard can go fuck themselvs

  • Im an explorer for a paid fire department, and so far firefighting is the only thing that I can see my self doing. I am going to go all out and do my best to become as qualified as i possibly can, so, pretty much I want to be a Firefighter/Paramedic/Engineer/Heavy rescue specialist/ Water Rescue specialist/ Ladder Operator. I love this line of duty, because every time we do our pt, the public always thanks us, and I always stop and take my time to say, you are very welcome sir/ma'am.

  • 21Arzer: Sadly, thanks are often not given though should be - especially by communities served. It is a harsh, demanding job one some do only for adulation, a uniform, ego all wrong reasons. A firefighter is there to defend and protect those who are helpless or in danger; they have respect for victims lives and property; they do it to make a difference. A professional will always respond as one. Thank you for upholding the honor of the men and women who proudly serve as firefighters.

  • hickup "fuckstick" go fuck your self we as brothers an sisters do more on a daily basis than u prob ever will with u own life ok so take a step back and FUCK YOUR OWN FACE u arrogant fuck i honestly hate people like u, u have no idea about this job an ur talking lke its nothging i been runnin on the job for 5 yrs now and i aint afraid to speak my peace to ignorant assholes like u so untill you know what we do for real and all that we do shut your fucking mouth and move on with ur pathetic life

  • @MPR456 man good job i've been doing this job for a year and already have had to deal my best friends death some people need to realize the shit we go through

  • purebred is right us firefighters do more than just PUT OUT FIRES which in it self is no easy task. we are all emt trained and at least here deal with way more medical calls than fires. i cant believe you can sit there and say that fire fighters arent heros when we are running into the burning building to get your helpless weak ass out of it before you burn to death.

  • love the music

  • hickup you do realize that firefighters are also trained EMT's and paramedics... over 85% of our calls are emergency medical calls.. not firefighting calls... you think we only fight fires? your way wrong.. learn some thing before you run your mouth and make yourself look stupid. disrespectful.

  • God forbid the day when you are trapped in an upsatirs closet with your family during a fire, or you are in a horrible car accident. We will still put our lives on the line for you and your family, and be proud to do so. Then we will simply look you in the face and smile. And, don't worry, no thanks needed. We do it because we love it.

  • @TheHickupp I feel a little jealousy at people doing something good with their lives to help others

  • to thehickupp mate i am a fire fighter and all ov us risk our lives to save others. so if you dont see us as heros dont ring the fire brigade when your house is burning down!!!!!!!!!!

  • its their not there.

  • It is. It's not its! Haha what was the point of this comment?

  • Corvettez -

You have to realize that firefighting is not as glorious as it seems to be, especially at a young age. I am 20 and became a certified state ff at 19. I quickly realized that ffing takes a lot of hard work, dedication, common sense and a selfless personality. Just make sure you think before you leap and pass on a thanks to your dad for his years of service.

  • i agree i was 16 when i started as a vol. I could not go in to the fire at that age but i still seen alot. The work is hard.

  • i am 17 and am doing the same thing... going in or not its the high you get after saving a life.

  • I'm 16 and when i turn 17 im joining the fire department i don't know how it would be. my father was a fireman for 25 years and he doesnt really talk about it

  • just never give up and you will be fine

  • im a new fire fighter, just left training and i must say, this job is the Best and The worst at the same time, its VERY hard but savin lives makes it worth it.. George Wainwright Jr.Jamaica.

  • Declethor, Firefighters suits are not proofed up to 2100 degrees lol. Firefighters die by fallen debri, stress related/heart attacks, accidental falls, flashovers, backdrafts, being trapped, and a million other things...being a firefighter is extremely dangerous, and there are alot of risks, you dont just die by the flames, there is alot of other cases, but thats just part of the job and thats why we love it!

    -pfd explorer

  • Im gonna be an explorer in a month, how do firemen die, I mean the suits are proof up to 2100 degrees Fahreinheit or something, other than the heat, what could kill them?

  • I guess Stuff falling on them

  • Heart attacks, due to the chronic and acute stress we all cant help but endure. Just happens.

  • Turn out gear is NOT fireproof. It is fire resistant. Do not think your gear will save you. Most LODD result from heart attacks. Also, failure to wear seatbelts on apparatus contribute.

  • But, statisticaly speaking if you're going to die in a fire, {excluding heart attack} the leading cause of LODD is Structural collapse. ~VFF

  • true no 1 firefigher killer righter now , besides heart attacks is lightwieght wood truss construction

  • inproper use of turnout gear, to much smoke in their lungs, or if u were on an accident call and some idiot decides to go around traffic striking a fire fighter or just not knowing what ur doing.

  • I'm a Fridley Fire Explorer. And PPE is NOT fireproof. Once it's in direct contact with fire, the protectiveness of it starts to break down.

  • im a fire tech student in so cal and i agree with username ashleyster 13 PPE is not fireproof its fire resistant and yeah it will start to decay. PPE doesnt really protect you from direct flame impingment, just from heat.

  • really its ment to give us precious seconds to help find or retrieve someone, as bad as that sounds it true. by the time you usually feel the heat its already to late to do much about it.

although our gears bulky and heavy, its really in the same since as a race car drivers in nascar etc etc just to give us time to get in and out.

  • turn outs get about 3 seconds be for they melt.. they just give off better protection then the rubber ones back in the day or your t-shirt n shorts... PPE has came a long way..

  • Point is it could save you one day.

  • love it! Thank You

  • good video the car accidents it what fears me the most fire i can hadle and i have been a firefighter for 4 years

  • Thats right MixNuts...i started off at the bottom...and well...im still kinda at the bottom lol...iv been doin it for about 2 years now...workin the way up!!

  • oh my god!! lol my old fd in the maryland pic lol wow well i am a search and rescue ff and i am tanker 1 so we will look out for you all!!!

  • junior core starting up for me im 15 i wanted to be one since i was like 3

  • I started fire explorers at age 15. I am now 17 and in 6 months i am applying for paid on call. I will be a third Generation fire fighter. I have family that are fire fighters On the east and west coast and right here in the Chicagoland area.

  • I started off when I was 19 here for L.A. County, and now both my sons are on and my father retired from here in 1982, and his father retired in 1962 as a assistant Chief.........We all start off at the bottom.....

  • Great video! im just gettin started in fire fighting and i cant wait to get started fightin fires! thanks for the video!

  • dud that is so cool msg. me on wat u had to do to become a fire fighter . thanks

  • depends on if you want to be a volly or a paid ff. paid ff's have alot tougher req's to meet. i just got my bunker gear and am waiting for approval before i can really do anything.

its prety simple m8 just depends what you want to do. just make sure uve got time and alot of patience if you start out total noivce with no ff exp ur behind by min of 2 years

  • you gotta start as a volly or student and work towards your certs...just go to a department and ask to get affiliated

  • yup, what im doing, also its good because you learn and its not a shock when your confronted in a bigger city where there might be more lives on the line.

    you a firefighter red ?

  • exactly

ya im a volly right now but im working on school degrees and paramedic certs and degrees

  • great video, whats the name of this song.

  • the song is wake me up inside by Evanescence

  • thanks man

  • anytime

  • Its Bring life to me

  • nice vid man. means alot in the beginning. STAY SAFE, STAY SMART, EVERYONE RETURNS HOME..

  • you have a very good point in the very beginning, those tones could very well be the last box we get

  • My best friend and brother are Firefighters. now I've finally seen the light. Im taking the test April 29. Wish me luck because I need it!!

  • this video did pump me up. I am a female fire fighter as well. But im only a volunteer. I am 18 years old and plan on fire fighting for the rest of my life. My parents wouldn't allow me to do it during my freashmen year of high school cause of how dangerous it was but finally they allowed me during my senior year(this year) Im enjoying it and I can never wait till we have training on tuesday nights.

  • I am a female Firefighter...i wouldnt change what I do for ANYTHING in this world..THANK YOU!!!

  • great video! the beginning is very moving

  • awesome really nice video

  • best

  • I give you alot of respect for this video . I appreciate you for opening the eyes of the people who see what we do.

  • JVFD firefighter 1232 great video exactly how it is!!

  • Nice vid!!! i would use a diff song but thats just me! thanks for posting! take a look at the Saltsburg "Vol. Fire Dept." vid on my page and tell me what you think!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • thanks for the support for me and my fellow firemen

  • Grat video. God Bless

  • since so many fire fighters seem to comment on this video i had to ask whats the best way to go about becoming a fire fighter...currently I'm active duty in the army but in about a year I will be national guard and looking for a job stateside.

  • Go too your city hall, visit your local fire stations

  • if you are looking into making it a career you will most likely need to take college courses. or you can become a volunteer and do it for the love of helping people without you being paid

  • Or you can get paid for it and still do it for the love of helping people.

  • right. it all depends on where you live, if you are willing to move closer to a paid house, or willing to traval to a paid house from where you live. i belive fairfax county va you dont need to live in the county.

  • i am going to go to school for firescience in the next couple years. i am a junior firefighter on the Ida Grove Volunteer Fire Dept.

  • thats cool. where is Ida Grove? I am a firefighter with kreamer vol. fire dept. and i might be getting accepted to williamsport bourgh of fire within the next year or so.

  • Take your fire science classes and EMT I classes and if you can try and take Arson 1. Those thing look great on a resume. I'm a batt chief in Atlanta and I look for the arson grads all the time and I've never turned one down.

  • really? do you know what colleges have the arson classes, or is it all community college? im trying to find a good 4 year for firefighting, so far i havent foung much.

  • Where do you live?

  • south of chicago

  • EKU has a good fire program in kentucky

  • alright, thanx. im lookin into colleges right now :)

  • ummm, to be honest. I'm not really sure. To be a aarson investigator, sadly enough you have to be involved in law enforcement.(im pretty sure, don't hold me to it), to be a fire marshall, you have to go through the police academy, then apply from there, now who u apply too, is foggy to me

  • thats right. theres a big down side to being an arson investigator though, they tend to come down with lung cancer from constantly breathing in numerous fumes after a fire. i know someone who quit doing it because he saw it happen to all of his colleagues

  • yea, they do have it rough. I heard a couple years back, that they were talking about giving arson small air packs, or filter masks. Or some other respitary protection. They need it to be honest.

  • Thank you, but we are NOT heroes, at least none that i have met would consider themsleves one, inculding me. This is not just a job to us it is not something we do for recogition, it's something we do becuase we have to. In a world full of crap its good to help someone that needs it and i think thats why most of us do this. So thanks but in all honesty i would rather hear a sincere Thank You form someone than all these vids.

  • I agree

  • Im a firefighter at Sykesville Freedom District Fire Dept., Nice video. Stay safe (btw its not a job its vol. work for most firefughters)

  • We arent heroes..we are just doing our job as a rescuer and firefighter..

btw im a firefighter too from Singapore..

  • Good lord, sorry for those that have lost it all..... but I am a firefighter (full time paid) and these videos are played out. Please everyone quit making them we are not heroes.....

  • exactly its our job!

  • hey are use like umb paid or not. i'm from australia and in a volunteer group as well. gunna start being paid soon though.

  • at 1min 53 sec the thing was going good

  • THE HEROS I RESPECT!!

  • where did you get this video

  • Im in pre service Fire in Ontario, And i love it already. This video is hawt stuff. I agre with fire fighter rose in that what i have seen and gone threw already tops the charts. People dont realize what involves being a Firefighter/ First responder

  • Every time I watch this video I can't get enough of it the song goes perfect with the video. I am Here at the fire house eating pretzels and I almost choked somehow because the video is awesome.

  • Great Song and Great Video....From a Junior Volunteer in the suburbs of Pittsburgh,PA

  • Man, some of those calls were nuts!! We have had a few and have been lucky.
