@Direksone gotta remember that myles is not primarily a guitarist, he plays rhythm guitar now but when Alter Bridge formed he was only the singer, now he does both

@rattleXhead Exactly, dont know myself what other solos were in the list, but this doesnt impress me at all:p I listen to heavier metal than this: groove, melodeath and thrash mostly, they have more impressive solo's than this. And no, not just random shredding etc., lots of them in Trivium. Stone Sour, Slipknot and Lamb of God have lots of groove and feel. This doesnt impress me at all sadly

BEFORE AB He was in numerous other bands where he was both guitarist & singer -and he actually started playing guitar BEFORE he started singing. Yup, look up his old bands, especially Citizen Swing & Cosmic Dust -jazz fusion bands, completely awesome style of guitaring there!

alter bridge are the greatest rock band alive and this song is just pure brilliance and what you get whenyou have one insane guitarist in mark tremonti and a fantastic vocalist in myles kennedy. i hope alter bridge do more long songs cause their talents shine bright

What makes this solo special is that its a oerfect mixture between the classic style of soloing and shredding. Not the best of all time, but i think its one of the best of all time and the best of recent years. Really memorable playing, IMO.

I love shredding as much as the next guy, but there are times when you have to just slow down and dig in give that solo some emotion. So may hat off to Myles Kennedy on this one. Love Mark but Myles nails it.
