Very nice version of the tune. There is another very interesting version that is essentiall all double stops by someone called that thar jonesy (or something like that) he plays it on the mando but I think it would sound great on the fiddle as well. Nice new axe!!
Hey! I may post my cross tuned version of this tune sometime soon. I got a lot of conventions and fiddle stuff going on right now. Midnight on the Water, I usually just tune the e down to a d and I don't play on the g string, when I'm at a jam. But if I'm sittin' at home I'll tune it ddad. =D
brilliant, it sounds fantastic! it would take me months to get used to a new instrument cause i've had mine for about 15 years, god knows what I would do if it broke!
You play a faster version of this old classic than I do but its still quite excellent. Your "new" sounds pretty good, too. I think its all a matter that its in the hands of a Master.
Excellent, Gary. I'm working on this one.

This one is done in standard tuning. I have another version that's cross tuned to aeac#, but I play this version when I'm at a jam session.

Your usual fine job. The fiddle has a nice, sweet tone, and I'm sure it's happy in its new home.

Thanks Bill! It's a little squeaky on the top end. I think I need to have it set up better. Thanks for stopping by!
