  • This was my first zydeco album

  • he sings in french, then in english. it basically means the same

  • One of my Favorite songs EVER. I would love to find the lyrics. Please share them if you find them.

  • is he saying 'et toi' at da begining?

i always hear it n zydeco songs

  • My mom is from South Louisiana and grew up speaking Cajun French, so I can make some of this out. I think the "co fa" sounds a lot like "quoi faire," meaning "what to do?". As someone else has said "t'as cassé mon coeur" means "you broke my heart" (though at first I heard it as "tracasser," which means trouble or worry and wouldn't be out of place here, either). :-)

  • bebe why u hurt me come on back........good to drink to

  • Great song. My Cajun grandpa and I used to ride around in his big red truck on Sundays and listen to Zydeco on the AM stations when I was a kid :)

  • @kmesavoy that's an awesome memory :) things like that are what make music such a great part of life.

  • give me zydeco or give me death

  • What a great song! Can't get enough. Best song on the album. The playing on this song is superb.

  • Man this just gets me excited.............

  • I love this CD,...

  • lOVE lOVE lOVE IT. KEITH FRANK IS THE BEST!!!!!

  • Does anyone know where you can find the French lyrics to this song?

I'm hearing "Co Fa, Co Fa, Je de Louisiane" or something like that. He also says something like "taca se taca se mon coeur" I know "mon coeur" means "my heart". Any suggestions?

  • @wackyruss i just scoured around the Internet looking, but I wasn't able to come up with anything solid at all. so I just sent an email to Keith Frank's people and they will hopefully respond to my inquiry soon!

  • @wackyruss : T'as cassé mon coeur ( You broke my heart )

  • @wackyruss check out Donna the Buffalo doing this song...they sing it in english...

  • @wackyruss the 'ta ca se' bit is infact 't'a cassé t'a cassé mon coeur' meaning you broke my heart, as he says later on in english. Man creole french is hard to work out though, regardless this song is a beast!

  • @wackyruss basically he's asking his girl why she did him wrong and took his love and ran

  • @wackyruss ... Yap... T'as cassé, T'as cassé mon coeur ( in english = You've broken, you've broken my heart...) .... simple... but still looking for the first french sentence I , even as french, can't understand... I don't think it's "Co Fa, Co Fa, Je de Louisiane"... any other suggestion ???

  • I love the whole CD. Gets me movin'. This is my fave. I also enjoy "Lula, Don't Ya Go To Bingo" track by Boozoo Chavis

  • @MarthaMartian i was just listening to Lula Lula last night! :) awesome track. i had a stressful day and it mellowed me out and then got me energetic again

  • I would like it if you did. I don't understand Cajun French but it does not matter, as they do sing in English as well. This music is so high energy and a wonderful combination of music genres.

  • @marmcmick alright! i agree with you. this music isfull of energy. i'll get on uploading the rest soon and make a playlist for the album as well

  • Thanks for posting. I had this CD and lost it. This is one of my favorites on this CD.

  • @marmcmick you are very welcome! should i post the entire cd?

  • @marmcmick it's my favorite track too :)
