Sorry to say this but I don't think I can get into HTDA as much as NIN. I would love it if Mariqueen sang with more emotion. I know that even Trent sings very softly in some songs. For example the 2nd verse in hurt I tend to sing along with him in my mind and everytime I feel the emotion pouring out, my heart aches and a lump wells up in my throat. I'll give Mariqueen a chance for sure cuz I know she has potential. She can most certainly carry a tune but I'd like to see her try to wear her hear
You do know this is MOSTLY Mariqueen's project...right? Give credit where credit is due. Although Trent and Atticus also had some influence. Also...NIN has taken the backburner for the moment. Not true at all. On BBC Radio 1 Reznor said that in 2012, he will be writing for the majority of the year with Nine Inch Nails "in mind". He stated, "I plan on spending a good portion of this coming year writing with that in mind. And we'll see what happens with it"

I love it, wasn't even aware of the NIN connection until recently, just makes it that much better. Just glad he is making things that sound good, different but still having his own unique aesthetic to it. Really well done in my opinion <3
I don't miss NIN because HDA sounds just like em except with a female at the vocals. Reznor's influence is obvious along with Ross and Mariqueen adds to it all with her smooth voice. I'm glad that Reznor can still make good music after 20+ years.

It is possible to love NIN, and not like this. It doesn't make me any less of a fan. It's personal taste. I love his version of the Immigrant Song w/ a singer (Karen from Yeah Yeah Yeah's) I really neither like or dislike. What makes Trent Trent? Loving this side of Trent. The music is definitely his, and her vocals remind me a lot of Snake River Conspiracy's lead singer, which I also liked. Glad to hear that he will be doing another NIN album, but these are definitely two different bands with their own styles.

I'm surprised by how much people hate on her. I think her voice is hauntingly beautiful and soothing, especially in songs like The Space in Between--she almost sounds ethereal. Gorgeous. Don't get me wrong, I'm not crazy about West Indian Girl... but I think she and Trent make it work very nicely.

i reckon this is pretty good i got into this when it was a free download on his website and i think as the ideas and raw emotion and energy ha drained from nin this is the best continuation of the lineage, better than just another lame dreams cape album like ghosts, pointless shit that was, not enough actual content to warrant its price tag, but this i could see becoming the next place for trent id be happier if this replaced nin completely, although they are my first love

Loving this side of Trent. The music is definitely his, and her vocals remind me a lot of Snake River Conspiracy's lead singer, which I also liked. Glad to hear that he will be doing another NIN album, but these are definitely two different bands with their own styles.

Put simply I love Trent Reznor, and Nine Inch Nails while I kinda like HDA.

I'm surprised by how much people hate on her. I think her voice is hauntingly beautiful and soothing, especially in songs like The Space in Between--she almost sounds ethereal. Gorgeous. Don't get me wrong, I'm not crazy about West Indian Girl... but I think she and Trent make it work very nicely.

Don't get it why people complain about the fact that trent doesn't sing?
You can always listen to NIN if you want to hear his voice - they will also come out with a new album soon. You can always listen to his instrumental sideprojects - when you don't want to listen to any voice at all. And you can listen to How to destroy angels if you want to hear his music with a woman's touch to it.
Find the variations quite awesome. We can have the cake and eat it too.

That may be Trent's music in the background, but her voice just ruins it. That's what happens when you mix business with an intimate relationship. It's just not the same and this is definitely not NIN. Her voice ruins the music plan and simple. It's not a good sound. @Gemini32ification He and Ross are still in charge of the music, so technically this IS the Nine Inch Nails sound. The only difference is now the wife is writing the lyrics and vocal melodies. Just listen to the instrumentals and you'll have NIN again. :)
