  • I like the bird better than the wizard. But anyway, how are you gonna end your bigotry towards your fellow conservative citizens? I don't really care what gays do, so long as it isn't in my house, but until there is car marriage, I see no reason for gay marriage. Marriage has nothing to do with love anyway. It was created to advance a family's economic, political, and/or social status. So I don't see why they want marriage so bad in the first place.

  • I'll end my disgust for neo-conservatism when I no longer here people like you saying ridiculous stuff like "I see no reason for gay marriage." All I hear is "freedom" out of one side of your mouths and "this group or that group can't have what I have" out of the other. One can hardly call that conservatism. You fascist pukes make me want to show you the door.

I agree with your thoughts on marriage, but shouldn't everybody be entitled to a miserable life in marriage?

  • What you have to understand is that many conservatives are religious, and think homosexuality is morally wrong. They could be right, or they could be wrong, I'm not really one to say. Gays are free to live together, isn't that enough? Or is marriage still economic in that they want to be included in their spouse's benefits from work and stuff? The definition of marriage is a union of woman and man, that is why people specify "gay marriage".

  • I'm glad you brought that up. Religion is a choice; moreover, it's an opinion. People can have bigoted opinions, but that doesn't stop them from being bigots. The Constitution doesn't give a free pass to bigotry for the sake of spirituality.

Churches founded the concept of marriage because too many men were knocking up women and leaving them. The women were uneducated and poor, so they had only had the church to turn to. And the church got tired of supporting these women and their kids.

  • um... k So anyway, you do have the right to your opinions in this country you know, meaning you can be a bigot, so I don't understand what you mean by "The Constitution doesn't give a free pass to bigotry..." Seems like we kind of got off-topic here though... But seriously, the bird is much better.

  • My opinions are not obstructing the rights of others. Religious bigots are preventing equality under the law for gays, as they prevented equality for women and blacks.

People are entitled to their opinions, unless those opinions prevent others from life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Still keeping up?

  • Opinions can't prevent people from doing anything dude. And maybe the pursuit of happiness of bigots is disrupted by gay rights. What then? Now I don't know if being gay is morally wrong or not, but if it is, gays wouldn't deserve any rights. And religious people are generally born into religion and indoctrinated into it much like liberals in a public school, so their opinions sometimes aren't really their choice. But like I said, I don't really care what gays do.

  • "Opinions can't prevent people from doing anything?" Ever heard of court "opinions?"

Do you think these idiots crying at the town hall meetings are spewing their opinions because they don't think it will do any good?

Boy, you've got some growing to do.

  • No, I have never heard of court opinions. I've heard of court rulings though. You see, there is a difference in having an opinion, and taking action. Showing up at town hall meetings is an action, voting is an action, making a ruling is an action. People can think that gays shouldn't do this and that, but that won't do anything. On the other hand, if they join a gang and beat the poop out of them, that is something that could potentially prevent someone from doing something. Ask the SEIU!

  • When a court makes a decision, it's known as an "opinion."

Gays can't get married in many states because of the opinions of others who have denied them that right.

  • Well, that is a different meaning of the word. One that I hadn't heard used before today. We learn something new everyday, huh!

Gays can't get married in many states because people voted against it. They did so because of their opinion that it is morally wrong, but taking action is what got it done. If you don't like it, make an effort to change their position by providing proof that it isn't morally wrong. Good luck to you!!

  • Morality is an opinion. And it's the bigoted opinions of these bigoted people who voted against their fellow citizens having the same rights are them that got it done.

Fascist authoritarianism is alive and well in this country.

  • Party on, dude!

  • According BBC, muslims will reach majority status in 2040 year. Let's not forget that the State promote national pride in brown kids, the state promote white guilt to white kids. *RussiaToday: French kids learn how their nation is evil, how arabs are great" watch?v=6LygJB1g8WU

What will happen with Brown Majority, bloated with pride and religious fundamentalism and demonized white minority?

    Not something pretty >.>

  • So they forced men "through the threat of eternal damnation" to man-up to their responsibilities and stay with and support the mothers of their children.
