I used to be one of those jerks that made fun of Honda's and the people that drove them. I drove gas sucking V8's that handled like shit and could only fast in a straight line. I now have an 88 Hatch. It's stock with almost 280,000 miles on it. It gets 40 mpg. I have the fever though and I want to find another Hatch and build a B18 for it with a turbo. Honda engineers are the shit. It's just that simple. I don't see how they stay in business when their cars never wear out. Why buy a new one?

That was awesome. That is exactly how I wanted to repaint my ef. Was yours Championship White? Was that the original hood? How long was the painting process?

Yes the paint is Champ White. The hood was part of the JDM EF front clip I bought at a warehouse. Body and paint took about 3 weeks (including sand blast)

I love it. So many people go overboard with these cars. With ignorant wings and goofy sounding exhaust. Then they throw neon lights on them and stupid looking wheels.... You did great with yours. Just enough to know it's different but still classy. Oh yeah... I honestly believe those are the best looking wheels I've seen on a Honda Hatch. I have an 88 Hatch.... These cars are entirely way too much fun..... Good job!!

Wish mine looked this good. Haha. Rust, 237,589 miles, rust, and more rust, no rims, no hubcaps, no AC, Clutch pedal is crooked, seats are torn up, no speakers, sun roof is so cracked it looks like a spider web, grill is broken, front hood is dented, I have to roll down the window to open the door and so much more :p but what can I say, its my first car, and my first piece of shit, and I love her. :D The only thing nice about it probably, is the AEM intake system.

I would have dropped a B18 c1 (GS-R). They Run better than b16s IMO. Also with High Compression Pistons, with CTR Cams. I really love the shell, good job on the restoration.

my honda civic 91 hatchback had its engine replaced. It didnt make it thru its second day. After heavy heated discussions with the mechanic, I have a reconditioned engine and it runs so well. I spent so much on the car, but i rather do that than replace it. I love this car.
