I'm Tarja's fan but I'm trying finally to support the New NightWish.However I'm musician as well and I have to say that after 2:40 the song is completely wrong in the vocal section.She is not in the right tone

There are old songs that Anette absolutely sucks at singing, but this isn't one of them.
Que horror mi canciòn favorita la ha destrozado, en lo personal no me gusta el timbre de voz de Anette, sigo a NW por que me gusta este grupo aunque la cantante no mucho, y soy totalmente TARJA, definitivamente Anette no deberìa cantar las canciones de antaño no tiene la fuerza que desprendìa TARJA y me refiero a su voz y presencia ella llena el escenario.

Anette suorastaan raiskaa vanhat biisit, ja uudetkaan ei ole läheskään niin mahtipontisia kuin ne voisi olla, koska Aneten ohut ääni ei yksinkertaisesti riitä niihin. Tarjan ääni on todella vahva.
Olisivat vaan ottaneet jonku enempi Tarjan tyylisen laulajan, tuskin olisi saanut niin paljoo kritiikkiä kuin Anette ja biisitkin olisivat kuulostaneet huomattavasti paremmilta.
God :/ I like Anette, but definitively she can't sing Tarja's songs. The songs of dark passion play and imaginareum are awesome is better that Anette sings only those songs....
This is terrible. Terrible and sad only. Anette can NOT sing old Nightwish songs. New songs are more suitable for Anette because melody lines are more straight and they don't go so high. I'm sure Tarja would still sing new songs too better than Anette. Anette sucks, Tarja was, is now and will always be the Queen of metal. We miss you Tarja..
@sinaputkiacc I disagree on the on the part where you say Tarja would sing better Anette songs. This video is the proof that Tarja is much better with these songs (though Anette is not so disaster in this version I think), but new songs doesn't fit at all with Tarja's voice. From Imaginaerum I can't imagine her singing songs like Ghost River, Storytime or I want my tears back, maybe Last Ride of the day, but overall, new songs are more dinamic, which is not the best for Tarja.

@MrMontilius Nightwish siempre hara buena musica, xq son buenos escribiendo canciones. Pero desde que no esta Tarja han bajado de nivel vocalmente hablando. Esta chica no llega ni a la mitad y se nota q fuerza mucho la voz. Este directo suena espantoso. Es mi humilde opinion.
@Clinfer4 Bueno, está claro que estas canciones son mejores con Tarja, sí, y también es verdad que fuerza la voz pero poco más puede hacer ya que no es del mismo estilo que Tarja. Y ahora con su nuevo álbum me parece que han ejorado una pasada adaptando la voz a Anette y también he escuchado directos de hace poco y canta mejor en vivo. @MrMontilius Bueno yo no he escuchado nada nuevo de ellos, xq la verdad no me llena la voz de Anette. Soy fiel a Tarja y más desde que el pasado finde la vi en Madrid en vivo y en directo. Si ya es una experiencia oirla en CD, no te puedo decir con palabras lo q es escucharla en directo.

En directo (y me refiero a verla allí mismo no desde el ordenador) debe ser una experiencia única. Y sobre NW si no te gusta nada la voz de Anette no creo que te guste, pero te invito a escuchar el album Imaginaerum, es mucho mejor que Dark Passion Play. Algunas cacnciones son excelentes XD. @davycrocketful I agree. A love Anette's voice, but it is very different from Tarja's. There are some songs that just don't work with her voice and she is best on the songs that were written for her voice.
wow i just found this video all i have to say is that other than making that old amazing Nightwish "clowns" she is ruining that precious music that Tarja used to sing. she still sings it amazing but unfortunately the guys in the band couldn't see it. Sounds like a bad cover =/ I have no problem with Annette but she can't sing old Nightwish songs at all... people are always quick to point out how Tarja and Annette are two different styles and can't be compared. True. But try listening to a pop star singing an opera stars song... I don't care how good that person is at pop music, they are going to sound like crap singing opera. When they do, they have a right to be judged. Annette just cannot sing Tarja's song. This is awful.

Sometime bands have to change vocalist,but in this case it was very unfortunate i think.When they kicked Tarja out they killed the NW that we all had come to know. The new singer does their new songs ok but her attempts on the old songs sounds like Carola Heggquist covering NW. Its really bad xD. Its like trying to ride a pony in a horse race XD

Maybe I'm an uncultivated person on singing (ater reading most coments here and on other similar vids like Nemo live i guess that) but I think she's not as bad as people says. If this song would have been released originally, it would be nice and everybody will love it, and Tarja's version would be trashed I can imagine. Human psychology is awesome :P

En mi opinión la voz de Tarja va mejor con el estilo simfónico, operático, teatral de Nightwish. De hecho, al principio tocaban folk acústico, y adaptaron su estilo a la voz de Tarja. Por esa razón, ahora Anette suena rara, diferente, sobretodo con las canciones originales de Tarja.
Pero Anette es muy buena también, sobretodo con las canciones nuevas hechas para su voz. No puedo esperar Imaginaerum!!

If I were the rest of the band, I'd leave Annette and The ditz Keyboardist the one saying "Read the book" in the break-up interviews and regroup with Tarja. Tarja's was all the energy. These guys suck now. they had gold now and it turned to lead. Idiots.

Besides in the beginning tarja wasnt that good live and later on she still was not that good live. She cant keep a note (listen to ever dream on end of an era you'll hear what i mean) and when her voice cracks it sounds aweful. No one is perfect, be glad the band continues to make music they also could have quit.
@Feanor2345 I have done it alot. I love tarja, but its unfair to keep bashing on anette because tarja also has her flaws. Her vibrato is really really annoying.

@davycrocketful I agree. A love Anette's voice, but it is very different from Tarja's. There are some songs that just don't work with her voice and she is best on the songs that were written for her voice.

wow i just found this video all i have to say is that other than making that old amazing Nightwish "clowns" she is ruining that precious music that Tarja used to sing. she still sings it amazing but unfortunately the guys in the band couldn't see it. I'm not saying Anette is bad in her screammy style but she shouldn't sing those master pieces, it's too much for her not so much of a stoning voice

Sounds like a bad cover =/ I have no problem with Annette but she can't sing old Nightwish songs at all... people are always quick to point out how Tarja and Annette are two different styles and can't be compared. True. But try listening to a pop star singing an opera stars song... I don't care how good that person is at pop music, they are going to sound like crap singing opera. When they do, they have a right to be judged. Annette just cannot sing Tarja's song. This is awful.

Sometime bands have to change vocalist,but in this case it was very unfortunate i think.When they kicked Tarja out they killed the NW that we all had come to know. The new singer does their new songs ok but her attempts on the old songs sounds like Carola Heggquist covering NW. Its really bad xD. Its like trying to ride a pony in a horse race XD

Real fans should support the current singer whoever and whatever she is. Tarja is past, Anette is present and future. She's a different style so don't you compare them! Anette is amazing and fitting as well as Tarja. I'm fed up with comments like these. If you don't love it, don't listen to it!

@crazytillbone You're right and got a big point, but I think she's just trying a different style. Maybe I'm an uncultivated person on singing (ater reading most coments here and on other similar vids like Nemo live i guess that) but I think she's not as bad as people says. If this song would have been released originally, it would be nice and everybody will love it, and Tarja's version would be trashed I can imagine. Human psychology is awesome :P

Nightwish viene con todo...!! En mi opinión la voz de Tarja va mejor con el estilo simfónico, operático, teatral de Nightwish. De hecho, al principio tocaban folk acústico, y adaptaron su estilo a la voz de Tarja. Por esa razón, ahora Anette suena rara, diferente, sobretodo con las canciones originales de Tarja.
Pero Anette es muy buena también, sobretodo con las canciones nuevas hechas para su voz. No puedo esperar Imaginaerum!!

Besides in the beginning tarja wasnt that good live and later on she still was not that good live. She cant keep a note (listen to ever dream on end of an era you'll hear what i mean) and when her voice cracks it sounds aweful. No one is perfect, be glad the band continues to make music they also could have quit.
