From 02:40 on he's not whinning anymore, and he's got a lot of guts. He's a hero who suffers and who has feelings, that's why IMO he's THE BEST heroe character ever. As Vader tells him ``you have controlled your fear´´ one of the best lines ever. But I enjoyed the vid very much, it's funny !

well, that was kind of the point, wasn't it? How some nerdy, whiny teenager can be actually the saviour of the universe. George Lucas' Mary Sue. Star Wars wouldn't be half the fun if he was some suave winner type to begin with. I LOVE Luke Skywalker and his hilarious whining.

And yeah, there was some character development that led to a decrease in whining.

I don't agree with the wuss thing, though. I found the guy quite courageous even in the first movie.
