Cleaning a refrigerator thoroughly takes at least an hour. Never use bleach! Many years ago I used bleach to clean the interior. Two years later the smell of bleach was still in the refrigerator. The ice cubes tasted bad too. I was unable to remove the bleach smell no matter how hard I tried. A couple years later I moved to a different apartment and that's how the problem was solved.

Half water, half bleach?! NO! Don't do that. Bleach is very powerful and you only need a cap full to every gallon of water.

I agree with cindiloohoo. I also think the cleaning industry is acting way overly cleanish. You need to get sick. And if you can't get that. I question your eduication.

But I don't think people in general are eduicated to "basic" cleaning. Besides alichol & bleech.

My frig is like hers and I hate it.I have the taller drinks on the top shelf so the other shelves are small.I have to lean down to find things.I just clean it with hot soap and water.I've not cleaned the inside in gosh ages but its not really that dirty.I do need to take out the big bottom glass shelf and wash it.

Bleach and water works very well. I use it in my kitchen & bathrooms. Thanks 4 posting the video! My God-daughter saw your vid, called me & said I need to see her fridge! I'd add, 1 little thing: put an open box of baking soda in, after finishing your cleaning.

So do I! I only have to breath at anything and it's clean, I recomend it with 20x500mg of paracetamol 'cos the bleach leaves a slight headache. Half a bottle of vodka can also help, btw don't smoke! It's bad for you peeps, i do care about your well being.

1 part water to 1 part bleach is way to heavy on the bleach. bleach is very strong and needs a good deal of dilluting. Also, make sure u wear gloves when you do this.

That depends on the germ you are attacking. & way to heavy on the bleach is an opinion not a police-able fact. I wouldn't recommend not wearing gloves but why is everyone acting like beach is hydrochloric acid? Heavy mildew stains that can get into door crevices & rubber molding can be easily removed with bleach & there is nothing evil about using it.

I just want to tell people, please don't use bleach. Tea tree oil and vinegar combined work exactly the same, and it's safer.

Hey, you have my appliances! I'll tell you what's amazing to me - my mom and grandmother taught me to clean with basic ingredients - bleach, ammonia, vinegar, baking soda, rubbing alcohol, etc., but people will spend ridiculous amounts of money on perfumed, overly packaged, expensive "cleaners," that do the same thing!

She left the door open the whole time, way to waste electricity. For one chlorine bleach is bad for the environment and two leaving the door open is not a good idea.

I prefer to just leave things in there for a long time then pull them out to see how green they turned. I always keep the beer up front though
