I like your video tutorials. I have been using Reason now for about 7 years or so, and I still found some of the info u provided helpful. I never used the Combinator for the drums like u do...cool. I did it a bit different, but your setup would make things a lot easier for me on certain tracks. Also, as far as copying and pasting in the sequencer, just select what u want to copy, hit ctrl+c, then hit ctrl+v (PC) and it will paste right at the end of what you selected to copy.
Over the past six years I have collected and captured a very large diverse collection of sample C.D's/ Loop Kits/ Loop C.D's/ Tutorials and much more. I have all the factory sounds from every drum machine made in the last 20 years including the AKAI MPC range with MPC programmes.
good job brother. are the beats on reason as good as working with the mpc and other hardware or is there a lost of quality. What's more professional, I'm just curious as to what i am hearing on the radio. Are the super producers using reason. If so, I think that reason may be one of the best inventions. Pure genious!!!
wHATSUP MANE i JUST GOT REASON VER3 AND THIS WAS HELPFUL WHERE IS THE NEXT ONE. And the only thing I can say is talk a little faster. But you did a great job mane. I say talk faster cause well im Mile A mInute and I like the work flow too. LOL One Love. Inna minute Mile A Minute
Unwanted discharge from the anal cavity haven ass. WHat chu talkin bout mane. The video was a good video. The boy was just talkin like Mr. Rogers I said it was good it helped me alot. Inna minute Mile A Minute PIMPIN ya bitch.
Nice Job. I've been an FL guy for years but am looking to try new things and this is what caught my eye so im studying before I choose but this tutorial was very helpful.
in response to 7:37 the copy and paste shortcut on a mac is actually select and drag while holding alt not control. its cool too see cats rocking reason. I been down since version 1
im just learning on reason, tired of buying beats and wanna make my own anyways, i luv instrumentals, this is some big help to me man i appreciate it!
you have to do somuch before you actually can use a sample in reason!its fucked!reason is for starters who wants stocksounds(many like em)i dont like em though,
funny i always thought fruity loops was for starters?? i dont sample in reason, i have acid for all that, i have drum refills and i can also take them stock sounds and tweak em to not sound so "stocky". i've heard people make shitty beats in reason, mpc, triton, fl, w/e, its not the machine or software, its the user who makes the beats sound so great!
you can use standard control c & control v commands to copy & paste as well. once you copy, reason (3) sets up your cue or drop point right at the end of the selected sequencer segment.
Dude i luv u man i been tryn to figure out how to rec with the redrum for the last 3 days "unselecting the pattern" ugh they dont evn hint at that in the help files.
this program does it all. you can do synths and stuff, but no VST support unfortunately [gotta rewire with cubase or ableton]. regardless, this is a sweet beat. looking forward to part 3.
I actually do rap a little, but I'm more of a singer. Be on the look out for my TailorMade TuTs business. I'll be making customized personal tutorial vids to sell at a very reasonable price. But don't worry guys they are for the more advanced techniques so you'll still see more of my basic TuTs on youtube as promised. These TailorMade TuTs will be for people who want to learn specific tasks on Reason 3, Pro Tools 7, FLstudio and some other progs and plugs.
400 dollars is cheap for a program which such diversity.
Anyway, it's probably gonna drop soon. They're already beta testing Reason 4. It's gonna be hot. It's got new toys, including the "THOR" synth which is amazing. Check out their site.

Nice tutorial. Is part 3 in the making?
Did you do something to the clanky/Hi Hat sound? It sounds like they alternate between pitches within a bar.
