I'm glad that Southwest didn't end up buying Frontier, though I love both of them. They were planning on replacing Frontier's A320 family fleet with 737s, which sounds good to me, but I don't like how they were going to absorb the airline eventually, and basically ending Frontier's being a symbol of Colorado for me. Go Frontier! Though I hope they one day move back towards a Boeing fleet.

@ChizmanInDenver Are you insane? number one Southwest has the BEST pay in the industry across the board. And while yes they would have slowly closed frontier as they got new 737's that is not the case with airtran, the plan is straight integration of airtran into WN. I was with Lynx when WN came it it was a bad deal. but republic was just as bad or worse.

what's so funny about what ChizmanDenver said is that Frontier/Rep merger left alot of ppl out of work and the airlines in bankruputcy and Southwest just had record quarter and NEVER a layoff.

I can't say I hate Frontier... I haven't been on it... But thanks to Bryan Bedford, leading the Republic Airlines, Midwest vanished. So, I can't say that I don't strongly dislike Bryan Bedford. RIP Midwest.

Northwest, when allegiant went to fly from lansing to Vegas, they swooped in with 3 flights a day to push them out, when allegiant cancelled the route, so did they, screwing lansing. American bought several airlines to get rid of compettition (like SW is) but also did you ever hear about an airline called Legend airlines? yeah american f*@%@#ed them too. Every one is out for them self

My dad works for Frontier, if and that was a BIG if Southwest had won, Frontier would have been screwed. From what my dad was saying that Southwest was wanting to do with Frontier, would have screwed every one on so many leavels. including fewcher pilets hint hint ricsmokin.

An open bid was put out so that Frontier would not be liquidated.........Republic and Southwest were the only two that bid. That means they were trying to keep Frontier IN business.........unless, I'm confused.
